You Turn Blog Tour
Adult Contemporary Romance
Second Chances Series
Release: October 6, 2014
From the author of No Reverse, comes a
life-changing journey to Paris and a chance to find l’amour again.
Eleanor Carrington knows how to love,
and to love deeply. She also knows how it feels to have your heart torn to
pieces. The blue-blooded daughter of a political heavyweight, she has never
wanted for anything…
… Except the love of two very
different men.
She was engaged to her second lover,
Joshua McBride, only to find out he already had a wife and a child. After that
ego-bashing experience, she flees to Paris to stay with her self-medicated
mother. While keeping her mom from popping pills like gummy bears, Eleanor
launches a new, no-strings-attached life plan: sleeping around and absolutely
NO falling in love whatsoever. On her part at least, because her self-esteem
could do with one or two Frenchmen going un peu crazy for her.
What she doesn’t need is for Grand
Amour Number One to burst back into her life. What she doesn’t need is
all-American Zachary Murdoch—or a more mature and sensitive version of him—to
schmooze his way into her life again.
Now a club-owner in Paris, Zach is
intrigued by the troubled woman who was once the sweet girl he had to give up.
Offering a shoulder for her to cry on is what he owes her. Falling for her is
what he has lost the right to.
But Paris is known as the City of
Love for a reason…
Will he be her turn at love?
*** You Turn is a contemporary adult romance and part of the
Second Chances series. However, Lenor’s story can be read as a stand-alone
novel. There is no cliffhanger. ***
Review- 4.5 Stars
You Turn is story of second chance love. This book is
heartbreaking, romantic, and sweet all rolled into one. You can't help,
but want Lenor to get her HEA. You easily get immersed in her life.
"Sometimes our first love is also meant to be our last.
Mistakes are made, but we learn to grow from them, and we do."
Lenor's heart was shattered by Zach when she was eighteen.
She has been in love with him since she was six years old, but one
fateful night he turned her world upside down by destroying her. Fast
forward five years and again she is left heartbroken by her fiancée. She
just can't catch a break in the love department. She flees to Paris to
try to recover from a broken heart and to take care of her drug addict mother.
Again, she is giving herself to others and pushing down her pain.
Will she finally be able to put her past behind her and be the girl she
is meant to be or will old demons come back to ruin her again?
Zach finally is in a place in his life where he can admit the
people he wronged. Five years ago he destroyed the only girl who meant
the world too him, but was to scared to profess his feelings. Instead he
does what he felt was right, he broke her and ran. Over the past five
years, Zach has changed his life....he wants to prove himself to Lenor....but
is it too late? Will she forgive him? Will his secrets finally
reveal themselves?
I fell in love with both characters. You can't help but want
them to be together. The both need to move past their secrets and
previous heartbreak, but in order to do that forgiveness needs to happen.
You could feel the intense chemistry between them, but it lacked some
steam. I wanted a little more in that department. I feel it would
have given a little bit more to their story and attraction.
"I wanted to be your turn at love. It was my most
fervent prayer." ~~Zach
"You are my wildest, sweetest dream and I'll keep dreaming
about you because no one, no one, can ever take that dream away from me.
Not even you."~~Zach
I enjoyed the dual POV's, and the past and present storylines.
It allowed the reader to see and understand Lenor and Zach better.
You see what causes the demise between them and the rekindled romantic
spark.
I enjoyed Ziggy and Charlie. You can tell they both care
deeply for Zach and Lenor. Lenor's mother I felt acted like a self
centered mean spirited woman who was jealous of her daughter. She didn't
care about Lenor, or who she crushed. She definitely fit the bill for a pill
popping self involved rich woman. My thoughts and feelings about her mom
did change briefly towards the end of the book.
My only complaints with the story are...it needs just a little
more steam. I enjoy a nice hot description. I didn't like all the French
sayings that were randomly thrown in at times. It didn't take away from
the story, but it was different when I was reading them. I do not think
they were necessary.
I felt this book has a natural storyline. The characters and story
are believable. I won't give away any spoilers, but the secret that Zach
has been keeping was a shocker. I felt his shame and understand why he
did what he did to Lenor. Both of them were so young and I felt it wasn't
their time yet. However, I was rooting for them and couldn't put the book
down. I wanted to know what happened between them in the past, as well as
the present. The author does a excellent job making you love the
characters. I loved the last line of the book...Overall I would say
this is a solid 4.5 romantic stars.

Marion loves to share happy vibes,
talk book crush, fictional boyfriends and sexual chemistry with like-minded
people. And because she spends most of her days on her own deep inside her
writing cave—and under the grey London sky—, you are welcome to come and say
‘hello’ from time to time. Just to make sure she doesn’t sink into insanity.
Her friends, family and arch-enemies (there are quite a few) will be forever
grateful for your help.
