Review- 4 Stars
This book started off slow
but once it picked up, it was a really interesting read. I liked the world that
she created. Being retelling of the myth of Cupid and Psyche was a fun idea and
well executed. It was definitely something that had your imagination flowing
the entire time. And with paranormals that is critical. It can so easily cross
over into the cliché and cheesy. But, the author wrapped you up in the world
she was creating. At the time, I could totally believe what I was reading was
true and completely real. Unfortunately, like with all books, when the last
page is done, I have to face reality and if I’m a little disappointed by that,
then you know it was a good read.
The characters were sweet and relatable. They
made the story fun to follow, and kept me looking forward to seeing their
reactions and what choices they make. The
love story is sweet, although, I think the story between Ross and Mya could
have been developed a little stronger. In the end, it was so interesting to see
how everything tied together. If you're looking for an easy and light read this
is your book.
