Jackson Reid is starting
over with a new job in a brand new city. A single father to his son Noah,
he hopes the change will help strengthen the bond that has seemed to suffer
since puberty reared its ugly head. What he hadn’t planned on was Liv—his
exotic next-door neighbor who drives him insane with her wild, new age
lifestyle, but still manages to leave him aching for more.
As challenges arise and
feelings intensify, will these neighbors be able to look past their differences
and find a middle ground? When love comes knocking, will they be ready,
or not?

This is a
story about finding love when you least expect it. Liv first meets
Jackson and Noah when he brings Noah in for a session with her. Little do they
realize they are neighbors and destined for some interesting arguments.
And boy are they funny....
Liv is a
sassy carefree girl. She wanted to do what she had a passion for and that
didn't go along with her parents idea so she left behind a life of comfort
to be her own person. She has no desire to settled down because of her
trust issues. She puts up walls except for those closest to her...her
friends. They are the only family she has or needs until she meets
Jackson and Noah. Will she open her heart to them or keep her walls in
place?
Jackson is
a single dad who recently moved to a new town. He was driven and his
focus was on making sure he was someone his son could look up too. He's
the type of guy who loves fiercely and isn't afraid of commitment, but his life
revolves around his son. A relationship is the last thing on his mind
until he meets his match in Liv. She's everything he wants in a partner,
but he must break down her walls first....will he get his wish?
They are
perfect for each other. What start off as a few squabbles between
neighbors turn into a bunch of childish funny moments. The both enjoy
tormenting each other in a friendly way...a little bit of foreplay I would say.
The chemistry between them is hot! They both want each other, but
Liv must get over her intimacy issues. I believe that Jackson was the one
that would make her open herself up to the possibility of more. To
finally find the one you surrender too completely.
"Our
lips molded together, and my hands gripped her hips, pulling her tight against
me. It would never be enough. I wanted to crawl inside her and
brand my name on her heart, making a permanent reminder that I'd been here and
I was never leaving"~~Jackson
I loved
her friends. I loved how protective they are of Liv. They are truly
her family. I also loved the relationship between Liv and Noah.
Begin with Jackson also meant begin with Noah. She opened her heart
to Noah as well and in that found happiness for both of them. Noah needed
a mother influence and Liv was that for him. She treated him like a
person, not a kid. He respected her and in turn she fell in love with
Jackson and Noah. They found each other and what was missing from each
other's lives.
This book
was sweet, romantic, and a tear jerker in a few spots. It has the right
amount of humor and the sexiness. I would love my own Jackson...he's
yummy! This book is about finding love when you least expect.
Following your heart and learning to trust those that love you will be
there to catch you. It's about showing your best and worst parts to the
one you love and that they will love you no matter what.
I loved
that this was told from both POV's. It gave us insight to how they both
were feeling. I personally enjoy that in a book. I enjoyed this
book as much as the others in the series. It was lovely too see Liv get
her well deserved happily ever after. Nicely done J.L. nicely done!
