HelenKay Dimon kicks off her hot new
romantic suspense series, Bad Boys Undercover, featuring the fierce men of
Alliance—and the only women capable of taming their hearts.
Camped
out at a resort bar in Fiji, CIA operative Ward Bennett may look like he’s on
vacation but he’s really deep undercover, hunting a dictator on the run. Ward
may be on the job, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t time for the sexy female
bartender. That is, until she drugs him.
When
Tasha Gregory discovers the hottie on the barstool isn’t who he pretends to be,
her MI6 training kicks into gear, and she has no choice but to take him out.
Problem is, Ward’s not an easy man to put down for long. More than once, his
interference almost blows her surveillance operation—and her ability to keep
her heart to herself.
As
the situation heats up, these two must decide whether they can trust one
another—and quick. Working together might just make everyone safer, but getting
close enough for comfort … might just get them killed.

Readers email and message
all the time to ask question about characters and books (and I LOVE it!) and
sometimes about me. While I could visit here and tell you all about my newest
release, I decided to tell you five things you might not know about me. Things
you might not even know to ask.
1. My newest release,
RUNNING HOT, is a romantic suspense set in Fiji. The heroine is an MI6 officer.
The hero is a CIA agent. They are tough and sexy and have to work together to
stop a very bad guy from doing some very bad things on a beautiful Fijian
island. The cool thing is that I didn’t have to rely on the internet for
information about Fiji. My husband and I actually spent part of our honeymoon
there in 1998. The clear blue water and warm breezes were amazing. We hiked the
area where the movie Blue Lagoon was filmed and the teen girl inside me
squealed a little bit.
2. I set a lot of books
in Washington, D.C. In fact, the first single title in the Bad Boys Undercover
series, PLAYING DIRTY, is partially set in DC. That’s because I know the city.
I moved there after college and, except for a few years in law school when I
spent part of the year in North Carolina, I lived there for about seventeen
years. It’s a fabulous and wacky place and really works well with romantic
suspense books.
3. I was a divorce lawyer
in the DC metro area. I blame my love for undercover heroes on that work. When
you live in DC and you work in divorce law you end up with clients who work at
the CIA, DIA, FBI, Secret Service…you get the idea. In addition to loving alpha
protector type heroes, I have some insight into the psyche of guys who work in
these fields, which is a huge help in romantic suspense.
4. I grew up in Lancaster
County – Amish country – Pennsylvania. Before you ask, I am not Amish but I do
come from a family of coal miners. So, when people talk about writing being
hard I always say, “well, it’s not coal mining.” Annoying, I know, but
true. This job is amazing!
5. This year has been
super busy but I’ve still made time to read. I do have to admit I have an odd
system when picking some of the books I read. I tend to read in cycles. Last
year I read a bunch of books about Himalayan climbing (and used some of that
information in the second single title in the Bad Boys Undercover series –
FALLING HARD, out in June, 2015). I also read a bunch of books by female
authors that had a mystery or suspense component. Some of those might be
obvious, like GONE GIRL by Gillian Flynn (though I prefer her book DARK
PLACES), but my favorite books were by author Rosamund Lupton (check out
SISTER). I haven’t picked my “topics” for this year. If you have any
suggestions, let me know.
There it is. More than
you ever wanted to know, right?

Penguin, Samhain, Carina Press, and HarperCollins. Her nationally bestselling
