Being a Jett
Girl

How did I
become a Jett Girl?
Hell if I
know, one moment I’m working at the premiere spot for creepy men and sloppy
drunks and the next, I’m being whisked away by a moody ex-boxer and a
mysterious man in a suit that overlooks his girls from the third floor of the
Lafayette Club.
It wasn’t
easy but now that I’m a Jett Girl, there is only one thing on my mind
and that is Jett Colby.
He has
captured me, stolen my heart and entwined my soul into his at such an alarming
rate that it seems almost difficult to breathe without him holding me, touching
me, kissing me...
He won’t
give me his heart though, he won’t let me own every last inch of him and not
because he doesn’t want to, but because he doesn’t want to jeopardize my
ambiguity.
Because of
this, there is only one thing standing in my way when it comes to completely
and utterly living my life with JettColby and it’s called Lot 17.
4 Stars
When I first starting reading Being a Jett Girl, I wasn't sure I
was going to like it. It seemed to have this really unique spin on the
Alpha male love story, but I wasn't connecting with the characters. A few
chapters in, I started to get into it. Sure, it was different, but isn't
that the point in reading books? So I decided to reserve judgment until I
finished it, and I'm so glad i did. I got my alpha male fix, my comedy
fix, and suspense fix, all in one.
The characters in this book all have the ability to rip your
heart out, make you laugh, or make you want to punch them, all at the same
time. Don't say I didn't warn you. I think that's something that
stuck out for me. She had the ability to make these characters instill
emotions within you, even if you weren't quite connecting with the entire story
line. Jett depicted the perfect broken man, sworn off of love, but
eventually falls head over heels. Plus, the sex with him is hotter than
hot, and makes you feel like you want to take a hot steamy shower right after
reading it. *sigh*. Lo/Goldie is pretty entertaining to read.
She's crass, bold, and downright foul mouthed, but she's a good
character. If you're the type to like your stories with a little bit of
dramatic flair, you'll love her. And then there’s Kace. And, I
might get some hate over this for the people that have read this, but I'm
totally team Kace. All the way. I'd go into details, but there
would be spoilers, and no one likes that.
And can we just talk sex for a minute? Usually I read an erotica
and I'm thinking to myself, cool there's some hot sex....followed by more hot
sex...and some more...and okay I get the point...they like to have sex.
But with these scenes, they are just yummy and kind of off the wall.
I loved it. It was nice to read an erotica that didn't have the
same sex scenes written over and over again. There were more than a few
times where i caught myself blushing or fanning myself, and let me tell you,
that's not the norm for me. Intrigued? You should be.
All in all this book was a pleasant surprise. Its fifty
shades mixed with barred to you mixed with a little bit of Wallbanger, so how
couldn't it be a good read? The only downside I saw was that the story line was
less relatable or realistic than I am usually into. But, that's just my
opinion. It definitely wasn’t a deal breaker, just an advisory to those
who have the same taste as I do in that sense. Over all, I give this book
four stars. Four dirty, dirty, good lord dirty stars.
When I was
in high school I occasionally read books but was consumed by other teenage
things so I didn't take the time to appreciate a good book on a cloudy day,
wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. It wasn't until I received a Kindle for
Christmas one year that my world completely flipped upside down. When looking
for books I came across the Contemporary Romance genre and was sold and I
haven't turned back since.
You can
either find my head buried in my Kindle, listening to inspiring heart ripping
music or typing away on the computer twisting and turning the lives of my
characters while driving my readers crazy with anticipation.
I currently
reside in beautiful Colorado Springs where the sun is always shining and there
is a trail waiting to be hiked on every corner. I share a lovely and warm home
with the love of my life and my five, four-legged.
I'm not sure if this is for me but if I won a copy I might give it a try. ;)
