Book Title: Pressure Point
Author: Olivia Luck
Genre: New Adult

I know what you’re thinking because I’ve thought it all, too. And yet that hasn’t stopped me from wanting Blake Campbell. Charming, gorgeous, brilliant, kind, selfless – Blake is everything I’ve ever wanted, but he doesn’t see me that way. In fact, he hardly noticed me until one night.
Traumatic events brought us together for the first time, but then he tossed me aside. I know it’s irrational, but I wanted him up until the moment he left me lying there alone.
When his eyes finally open and he finds out I’ve left, will it be too late?
"Love
is never easy, Cara. When you find the right partner, yes it's
magnificent. At other times, it's a challenge. Love is finding
someone to stand by your side when you screw up, someone to prop you up when
you stumble, and to understand and accept your imperfections." I
love this quote, it's so truthful....
Stella
has loved Blake since she was twenty and literally fell into him. However,
she vowed that she would put her feelings aside because his little sister Zoe
was her best friend. People used Zoe to get to Blake and Stella was not
going to do that, she could secretly lust for him, but never would press the
issue. Then in a blink everything changes. Would she finally show
her feelings?
Blake
has it all...money, good looks, fame, family, but he's still missing that
special someone. During his senior year of college he becomes an instant
parent/guardian to his 10 year old little sister Zoe. Through the years
he's felt more like a father than a brother. When Zoe finally goes off to
college she makes a new friend Stella. When he meets Stella he is
immediately entranced by her, but she's off limits. But....years later
traumatic events happen and Blake and Stella are thrown together. Does he
give into his desires?
This
was an intense love story that covers the course of years. Blake and
Stella have sparkling chemistry, that's been building for years. This
story is filled with heartbreak, some humor thrown in and real life challenges.
The characters are likable and you keep reading because you want to know
what happens with them. Will they or won't they?
I
loved Stella, she was sweet, beautiful and she was determined to be a good
friend, the best, even though she secretly loved her best friend’s brother.
She always put everything/everyone above herself....that made me sad for
her. Blake was a jerk at times. He was sweet and then he turned
into Mr. Alpha Intensity. He was self-absorbed at times and I wanted to
shake Stella and say Wake Up, he's putting your feelings aside... But he does
get in my good graces again.
My
only draw backs are I felt there were some things missing. Without
revealing too much....the storyline with her work (Ryan) it briefly shares some
of what she was going through, but not much. I also did not like the ending
(my own personal opinion) I want just a little more and maybe in the next book
you get more of them. There are also a few proofreading problems, but not
enough to take away from the story. However, with that being said...I did
enjoy the book and the intense love story that spans time. I will check
out the other books in the series, as they can be read as standalones, but all
the characters are mixed into them. This is a good read and is worth
checking out. 4 Stars!

They say life is about choices. You spend your life making decisions and dealing with the consequences, whether they are positive or negative. In my tumultuous frame of mind, I make a choice. A very poorly thought out choice, but one that I have to live with, nevertheless.
As soon as Cassidy finishes her encore, I tell the girls that we’re going backstage to meet the singer. They follow behind the private elevator to the lower level of the Chi Center, talking giddily. I push their voices out of my mind, leading them with long, purposeful strides.
There are perks to owning the joint. The security guards clear the way for me, knowing not to bother me when I’m in a foul mood.
With a short knock, I push my way into Cassidy’s crowded backstage room. The moment she lays her fake-eyelash covered gaze on me, she squeals. The sound hurts my ears, but I pretend it doesn’t.
“Blake Campbell, I didn’t know you were coming back here!” She literally launches herself at me, latching her over tanned arms around my neck and thrusting her glitter-speckled tits against my chest.
And then, in plain sight of Stella, I yank the pop star into my arms and thrust my tongue down her throat.
You are a moron.
