Emily
Braden is a leader in architectural preservation, a pillar in her small
hometown, and successful in everything she does—with the exception of finding
true love. She’s watched several of her brothers fall in love, and she needs
this trip to Tuscany to get away from it all and to stop focusing on what she
doesn’t have.
Dae
Bray doesn’t do flings, and he never stays in one place for very long. As a
demolitionist, he goes where jobs take him, and the more often he travels, the
better. His trip to Tuscany is all work—until he meets smart and sexy Emily,
who makes him reconsider his fear of settling down, his no-fling rule—and just
about everything else he’s ever believed about himself.
Passion
sizzles as Dae and Emily explore the history and beauty of Tuscany. Their
romance moves beyond tourist attractions to the bedroom, blossoming into a deep
connection neither can deny. But their worlds collide when Emily wants to
preserve the property that Dae is there to demolish. Can a woman who sees the
beauty in preservation and a man whose life is spent tearing things down find a
solid foundation for their love?

4.5 Stars!
Emily is a young lady
that is very successful in the business world in an unusual career. She loves
what she does but is probably pretty much one of a rare breed in her
profession. Emily is always working and is like most people in our society
today, attached to her phone because of emails and phone calls. One of Emily's
brothers gives her a trip to Italy where she has always wanted to visit. The
very first night Emily is there, she meets Dae. Dae is Emily's love at
first sight even though it takes her a little bit to realize it.
Dae is a very successful demolishing man and is very sought after in his career
as well. Dae is in Italy on a work trip and ends up staying at the same Bed and
Breakfast that Emily does. It is rather strange that these two meet at the Bed
and Breakfast because there are only two rooms rented out at any time. To me
this was meant to be. Dae is a gentleman and once he lays his eyes on Emily has
a hard time not letting his body react to what he feels to make sure that he is
feeling this strong of feeling for someone he just meet. Dae and
Emily end up spending lots of time together and Dae goes out of his
way to make sure that Emily has a good time while she is there and that she
gets to see the sights that she wants to visit as well. Dae is always doing
little things to surprise Emily and he very quickly captures Emily's heart.
In the meantime, Emily is told about a tree that is in a house in a villa that
holds special wish granting abilities, as myths are believed. Dae visits the
property that he is there to assess for demolition and is so intrigued by the
house that he has Emily go visit the property. Neither one of the
know that the Wishing house/tree is the same property that Dae is there to
demolition until the owners of the Bed and Breakfast explain the
myths and legends to them about the tree. Emily soon discovers how important
the tree is to the community and wants Dae to reconsider what he is going to do
with the property. The connection between Dae and Emily only grows stronger but
Emily wonders if this might come in between them with Dae's decision as to what
to do with the property.
The connection between Dae and Emily is undeniable and soon both of them
realize this. Dae returns back to the states before Emily but promises to see
her soon. I love the way that Melissa Foster always leaves you
longing to find out how the story is going to end for the characters. This was
a HEA and I am so glad. Thanks Melissa for another great read!!
