What
happens when you start falling for your worst enemy? Fans of Abbi Glines and
Monica Murphy will relish this addictive novel of smoking-hot seduction—and revenge
gone so wrong, it’s right.
I wasn’t always this jaded. I had a clear head, things I wanted out of life, and a concise plan on how to get there. For being only twenty-one, I pretty much had it all figured out. Until the day my cousin died.
I spent months going over all the details surrounding her death, trying to figure out how I missed the signs, and the only thing I could come up with was she would still be alive if it wasn’t for one person: her professor. So I transferred to his college, enrolled in his class, and set my new plan in motion.
First I’ll seduce him. Then I’ll ruin him. I’ve just got to stay strong and not let his charm and my emotions get the best of me. Because someone has to pay for her death. If it’s the last thing I do, I’m going to break Noah.

Review- 4 Stars
This book definitely has the
ability to keep you engaged. There were also some twists that were completely
unexpected, always a good thing to keep the reader interested. However, I
wasn’t quite sure where to land on my rating.
On
the positive side, the book is very well written. The plot is well thought out,
writing flows nicely, and the characters are well developed.
Noah
was a no-brainer, instant like for me. He is soft and caring, intelligent, and
so very sweet. However, he’s also got a slightly darker side, enjoying control
and submission in the bedroom, liking it when it gets a little rough very mild,
so if you’re not a fan of BDSM, which I’m not, you shouldn’t have any problems
reading this).
Zara
was a contradiction for me. I liked the glimpses of who she really was, but
sometimes it was hard to get past what she had made herself out to be in her
obsession to gain revenge. However, the author does a good job of getting you
inside her head and heart, I could feel her pain, so my sympathy overrode most
of the negative things about her.
The
passion between Zara and Noah is hot!!! And, with Noah fighting to maintain his
integrity, the sexual tension just grows and grow until I was pretty sure even
I was going to snap. There is an incredible amount of emotion, in addition to
the passion, and it is all really well transferred to the reader.
On
the downside, there were moments when I was a little tired of the game and I
wanted things to move a little quicker. The tension can be a good and bad thing
and sometimes, I just wanted some relief from it.
I
must warn you, there is cheating in this book, by the main characters. Well, I
suppose that depends on your definition, but to me, it was cheating. The author
tries to justify it by making it clear that their relationships are basically
over, they just haven’t dealt with the mess of truly ending it. It was a little
hard to respect Noah’s integrity when he didn’t have much remorse in stepping
out on his girlfriend. Zara even stepped further over the line by being with
Dillon right after a steamy session with Noah. Again, it’s attempted to be
justified by her lies to herself that her time with Noah is all in the name of
revenge. This is the largest reason for my drop in rating, but I was able to
move past it for the most part, which is unusual for me.
There
is a fantastic epilogue, so hold out for the HEA! This book was great and while
it’s not a “re-read” for me, I would still recommend it.

most likely find her on the couch, telling her husband all about her new book
boyfriend, or spending quality time with her two gremlins . . . er, adorable
