Lauren Blakely has delivered another home run on this story!! Sinful Desire is
steamy along with an Alpha male that will make you melt!! I absolutely fell in
love with Ryan and Sophie from the very beginning. I did not want to put this
book down once I started it because I could not wait to see what was going to
happen between Ryan and Sophie!! The chemistry between these two from the very
beginning left you breathless and longing for more and more of them!
Sophie is a middle aged philanthropist that has retired from her work at an
early age due to selling her own software and making millions off of it. Sophie
now is one of the biggest fundraisers for the area that helps raise money for
local charities. Sophie is divorced as well after her marriage of 10 years did
not work out with her ex because he wanted to "share" her. They are still
very close and very good friends though and Ryan has to learn how to accept
this, which is hard for him since he is super jealous and protective of Sophie.
Ryan has had a hard life and had to deal with the death of his father at a
young age. When his mother was accused of shooting him, he pretty much lost
both of his parents at the same time. Ryan's mom swears to him that she was not
the one to shoot his father and that she is going to try to get revenge on the
real people that did kill him. When Ryan visits his mom in jail, she says some
crazy stuff that Ryan has no idea what she is talking about and he can't get
her to open up about it to him. Ryan has pretty much dedicated his life to
helping his mom out and making his security business a success after getting
out of the military.
Ryan and Sophie have a chance encounter one day when he is going into talk to a
detective about his mom's case that they have re-opened. Come to find out,
Sophie's brother is the detective and she has dropped by to pay him a visit
when she runs into Ryan. The sparks immediately fly between the two of them and
Sophie invites Ryan to an expensive benefit dinner that she has planned. Sophie
knows that if he is serious about seeing her, Ryan will be there.
Ryan is a man that loves to be in control and when Sophie reacts to every
little demand that he makes and asks of her, Ryan is hooked. He loves that she
loves to be told what to do. Outside of a relationship, Sophie handles herself
and can take care of herself, but when she is with a man, she likes to be told
what to do and let him have all control of her. Sophie has never been handled
the way that Ryan handles her and Sophie has found that she likes being told
what to do and experiencing new things with Ryan. Sophie gives herself
completely to Ryan.
I love that this story has a HEA for Ryan and Sophie!! They both deserve it and
was so so happy for them!! This was such an awesome love at first sight story
and so well put together. Thanks Lauren for such a great read and I can't wait
for more from you!!
