SYNOPSIS:
Finally,
contemporary romance for women over forty!
After a solid career as an economist working at the US Embassy in London, forty-two-year-old American Ivy Cross is ready to jump to the bigger paycheck of the private sector and finally make time for a relationship.
Madrid-based tech superstar Ruben Alegre both infuriates and intoxicates her, and if he only lived closer she'd consider risking her heart.
When the opportunity for an incredible new job in Berlin arrives in the form of sexy Christof Brandt, she wonders if the offer is too good to be true. Her Late Bloomer friends are split down the middle, offering support but no clear decision.
Will she find a future with Ruben? Start a new life in hip and gritty Berlin?
There are no easy answers, but Ivy can't deny that her life is about to change in a very big way.

Ivy was a sweet romance mixed with some drama...what I enjoyed about the book
was the relationship between the friends. The Late Bloomers had each
other's backs. They were like sisters and best friends who offered the
best advice.
I loved that Ivy was not some young woman. She's a forty something woman who’s established in her career, but chooses to make changes. She feels stuck and wants some more adventure. What she doesn't expect us to fall for the womanizer Rueben.
Rueben was pushy, cocky and funny. I enjoyed his Spanish flair and his determination to get Ivy. She's intrigued him from the minute he saw her. Can he get her to open her heart and try something she's closed off from?
This was full of drama...I don't want to get into too much because it will ruin the book. However, I will say things aren't always as good as they seem. Which path do you take? Love, career or something completely unknown....take this journey with Ivy and see what she decides.
This book is about finding oneself, unexpected love, letting barriers down and true friendship. I'm rating this 3.75 stars because I didn't like how Ivy was wishy washy with Rueben. I felt that she'd pull him in and then push him away. It's also not very steamy, it has some steam, but I wanted more. Just a personal opinion. The writing is good and Overall, this is fast and very sweet book. 3.75 Stars.
