Blurb
Dear Professor,
Review
- 4 stars
I
wasn't entirely sure what I was going into when I picked up this book. I
have to say, I pulled a shallow moment, and got super excited to read it
strictly because of the cover. I started reading and realized just how
hot this book was and instantly had to put it down for a moment. It was
that good. I was fanning myself by the end of the first chapter and
sported a blush every time I picked it back up.
Lately,
it seems every erotica I pick up, I tend to not finish. It's not that
they're bad, it's just that they're all the same but Dear Professor isn't
like that. It stands out. It's different and I definitely liked
it. The chemistry between Darcy and J was read so realistically. It
didn't feel like I was in a fantasy, it felt like it was real to me and I loved
that about it. I loved the fire that Darcy embodied, and I loved the
rough alpha male J was and how their relationship was supposed to be one way,
but took a different road. There was more than just sex to this book,
there's a pretty detailed plot that makes you want to read it all over again
just to get all the tiny bread crumbs.
There
was a reason this wasn't a five star for me and that was the change in 1st
person to 3rd person when changing POV. I love a dual POV novel, but I
wasn't a fan of the difference tense. It's probably a nit picky thing on
my end, but it threw me off. I had a hard time keeping up with the 3rd
person when I was so used to reading the majority of it in 1st. Other
than that, this was a great read for me.
If
you're looking for a good story line with some seriously hot and steamy scenes,
this one is for you. Just be warned, it definitely isn't for the faint of
heart and that's just the way I like it.
