Heartbreak and Honor grabbed my attention form the very begging with a kidnapping and kept in enraptured until the end. This tale is filled with lies, deeply buried secrets, humor, and plot twist that kept me
flipping pages.
Lucan's friends ask him to help the a gypsy who helped them in the past. After rescuing the beauty who was kidnapped along with her siblings he tries to steel a kiss and she responds by clocking him and leaving him with a black eye.
Her life his turned upside down when she discovers that she was not born a gypsy. She is the long-lost heiress Alexandra Atterberry. Suddenly Tasara is thrust into the world that she despises and becomes a Lady of the court. She has enough to worry about besides the handsome Duck who she runs into again at a ball.
Lucan has not been able to keep his mind off of the gypsy that he saved. When he sees her at a ball he decides then and there that she will become his wife. She is resistant but how long can she fight all of the swoon worthy charm that he is laying on her?
There were plenty of laugh out loud moments as well as anger inducing situations. I loved Lucan and Tasara, but I hated most of her family. This is the first tale that I have read by Collette Cameron and I'm sure that it won't be the last.
