Kelly Elliott has outdone herself with this one! I knew from the Prologue that I was going to be hooked on this one!! The Prologue alone had my heart breaking for Thano and longing for a HEA for him. Even though Elliott left us sobbing in the Prologue, she totally made up for that with the after story.

Thano and Kilyn are such great characters that I fell in love with immediately! Thano is recovering from a tragic accident that happened with his ex-fiance but is still struggling with himself about how he can move on when she was his first love. Is it fair to her for him to move on, even though she is not around anymore? Thano has to figure it all our for himself, but when will the answer become clear? When Thano and Kilyn meet in a bar one night, he knows that there is something special about her. Thano keeps telling himself not to fall for her but there is just something about Kilyn. When Thano and Kilyn keep "bumping" into each other, they decide to give it a shot with dating. What Thano doesn't know is that Kilyn has her own share of problems from her past that she has to work through as well. Will these two be able to make it with all their past issues that they have to work through?

Thano is from a Greek family and I have to say that Elliott did her research on that aspect of the book. I have an image of Greek families that depicts them as all funny and outspoken and that is just what Elliott portrayed as well. Very well done with this aspect!! Thano's mom is hilarious and I quickly fell in love with her as well. All of the supporting characters were so lovable as well as the main characters and that made this story extra special. I totally felt like I could fit right into the story at any point! Kilyn is not used to the Greek family type but she adapts with Thano's family in no time. Although she will never be able to endure the baklava!! Lol

The other aspect that I loved about Thano is that he is such an Alpha male but he had such a big heart for Kilyn. He was so in tune with all of Kilyn's feelings and never wanted to hurt her. I loved that about him. Thano was always worried about how Kilyn felt in certain situations and did not want to trigger any of her old feelings. I loved his nickname for her too!!

This was just a great read that left a huge smile on my face. I longed for more from Thano and Kilyn but I am also happy that they got their HEA. I was super bummed that this story was over way too soon for me though! Great job Kelly Elliott on a swoon worthy read!

Excerpt

 

“Kilyn, you make me feel something I haven’t felt in a long time. It both excites and scares me. We keep running into each other and Gus would say it was a sign and, fuck I don’t know, maybe it is. All I really know is I want to get to know you better.”

My brow lifted. “Get to know me better how?”

His eyes turned dark while he quickly swept them over me. My body responded with a shudder. When he took a step closer to me, my heart was pounding so loudly I couldn’t hear my own thoughts.

His hand slipped around the back of my neck, pulling me closer.

Oh. Dear. God.

My knees shook as I reached up and grabbed onto his arms to keep myself from falling. Thano softly ran his lips along my neck and a small moan slipped from my mouth.

I could feel his hot breath on my skin as he talked in a low voice. “I want to know what I do that makes the pulse in your neck beat like this.”

My breath caught when he pressed his lips to my neck and whispered, “Eísai tósi ómorfos.”

The foreign words swam around in my mind so beautifully. With my breathing labored, I panted out, “I have no idea . . . what you . . . just said. But you can get to know me in any way you’d like.”

It might have made me sound like a cheap whore, but in that moment I didn’t care. All I cared about was this man was able to bring back feelings I had buried long ago.

And I liked it.

I liked it a lot.

          

Kelly Elliott is married to a wonderful Texas cowboy who has a knack for making her laugh almost daily and supports her crazy ideas and dreams for some unknown reason...he claims it's because he loves her! She’s also a mom to an amazing daughter who is constantly asking for something to eat while her fingers move like mad on her cell phone sending out what is sure to be another very important text message.
