The Wrath of Cain, The Redemption of Roan, The Absolution of Aidan and now the Deliverance of Dilan.....damn damn damn, these men drive me wild!
This is a standalone, but I recommend reading the other Syndicate Books. They are full of suspense, sexy engagements, and a lot of swoon worthy moments. Seriously, Kathy the last lines...I screamed! No this doesn't end in a cliffy, but there are some words at the end that will make you freakout because she just grabs ahold again. I loved it!
Dilan is out for revenge right from the start and has a major hard-on for it. I totally understood why he needed to fulfill it. He was wronged, his family was wronged. But he's back for war and no one will stand in his way. But how does he keep his family out of it? Will they let him power on with the choices he makes or will they help him exact his revenge?
I've fallen for a woman I may never have. A woman who could erase my tainted past.
I fell in love with him. He struggled to stay away from Anna even though his heart and body wanted her, his head was the voice of reason. He knew he would only bring trouble to her and he didn't want her to have to go through that again...She's already suffered enough. Even though deep down he loves her, wants a future with her, he needs to somehow find a balance because he needs her. Can Dilan let go of the fear or will he stay away from Anna?
I'm ready for more, Dilan. It's you who needs to catch up. I've been standing across that finish line for six months, hoping you would cross over it.
Anna, she was character that I wasn't sure about right at first, only because she's a typical girl...she hates him, she loves him, she's feisty, she's scared. But overall her sweetness and roughness won me over. She's had six months to stew over everything that happened with Dilan. She isn't the innocent little girl he thought she was, oh hell no...she's quite dirty. I am telling you, she won me over.
She brings out a part of me I've been too numb to admit I needed. One taste of her, and she's become a weakness that has brought this man down. She's shaken me up, made me want to be a man worthy of her.
The connection between these two...holy cow! It was like fire and it turned totally dirty and electric!
Sometimes it seems to be almost animalistic between them...
Loved seeing the guys and girls. They way they all back each other no matter what, that is family. Loyalty to each other above everyone and everything else.
This was a great read and I loved the others, so I was excited to see this pop up on my kindle. This is intense, bloody, sexy and another fantastic story by Kathy. Where she gets these ideas from, I have no clue, but they are worth the read! I love a good Mafia book and this series doesn't disappoint!

“I know what the fuck is running through your mind, Dilan. Let it fucking go. You can blame yourself all you want, but this is the last time I’ll tell you that no one blames you for this. We’re all a little shocked. Stunned to the very fucking core over this shit. One thing you need to know, to hear from me, is this. I can honestly stand here and tell you that if I were you, I would be doing the same thing. Nothing would have stopped me, and I know with every goddamn bone in my body that you wouldn’t blame me for a damn bit of it. Pull your head out of your ass. Man the fuck up. I want every one of those women back.” I close my eyes and clip the bridge of my nose, exhaling as I do.
“Don’t stand there pitying yourself or any one of us, Dilan. We will get through this.” My uncle stands directly in front of me. His words are mixing with the ones Roan just spoke, stabbing me with a dull knife into my already wounded heart.
“One thing I hate is repeating myself. But it seems with you I have to. You’ve always carried this fucked-up world on your shoulders. Just like your cousin, you’re a fixer. Determined to do shit on your own in order to protect those you love. Well,goddamn it, sometimes in life we need to ask for help. Even though you didn’t, you sure as fuck are getting it. There are things in life that drive us to do things we do not want to do. I know first-hand how these things or people that drive a knife so deep into your gut, twisting the shit out of it until you’re damn near bleed dry, can possess your every thought. It damn near killed me to know Royal had a part in putting you away. Why he turned on all of us is irrelevant. He did. He broke the rules and so did the Carlos family. The situation with Royal has lead up to all of this. My guess is he was jealous of you, like he was of his own brother. He had his filthy hands mingling with Juan’s, to attack me where he knew it would hurt me the most. My family.” He pauses briefly then continues on, his words pulling me from my gloom of guilt.
