Love comes along when it’s least wanted
Jason Guthrie has no time for entanglements—between helping out his widowed brother and teenage nephew and getting his hometown back on its feet, his days are spoken for. But his nights are another story… And when his lovely new neighbor, Honor Brown, reluctantly accepts his help in remodeling her house, Jason finds himself wishing his handyman skills could knock down the defenses she keeps building around herself.
Martial arts teacher Sullivan Dean knows real danger when he sees it—even when it takes the form of the gorgeous blonde helping her friend move in across the street. After putting his wayward past behind him to focus on teaching control to troubled kids, Sullivan has learned to avoid party girls like Lexie Perkins. But Sullivan can’t seem to keep his hands off the real woman behind that flirty charm—or keep his heart from landing at her feet…

Lori Foster never disappoints me and Don’t Tempt me was really
cute and I definitely enjoyed it! I fell hook, line, and sinker for the whole
cast of characters.
Honor has had some rough breaks in her life, no doubt about
it. It was easy to see why that would shape her to be independent. For the most
part, I liked her, she was smart, hardworking, and sweet. She has a great
capacity for love and patience. When she showed her backbone, I wanted to
high-five her! However, I felt like she took things a little too far throughout
the book. Her constant worry over people seeing her as weak, just because they
offered to help with something as simple as righting a spilled trashcan drove me
nuts. She has justified abandonment issues, true, but I would have expected
that with the way her grandfather raised her, it would have lessened her
phobias, not exacerbated them. It just got a little tiresome toward the end of
the book.
Jason was kind of a butt head in the beginning, but he got
over it fast. He fell for Honor almost as quickly. I loved his steadfastness
and determination in wooing her. It brought to light how amazing he was as a
person. Strong, fiercely loyal, loving, funny, and just . . . adorable. I was
so happy to see him knocking down Honor’s walls and forcing her to let him love
and care for her. It didn’t hurt that he was practically always shirtless and
worked with his hands…
Lexi and Sullivan are a bit of a side story, we don’t spend
a lot of time on their relationship, but it’s enough for it to be fun deviation
from Honor and Jason at times. I loved Lexi, she was hilarious and so much the
opposite of Lexi. They were adorable and I would have loved to have read a
whole book about them.
I definitely recommend Don’t Tempt Me, and I can’t wait for
Hogan’s story! This one isn’t on the re-read shelf, but it’s was absolutely
worth the read!
Yes. I LOVE remodel jobs. My hubs owned a construction business and I often helped home owners with design in bathrooms and kitchens. In my own, I want to redo the laundry area
