Lauren Blakely always leaves me with such a good feeling after reading her books. I love her way of incorporating so much humor into a love story that is hot, romantic and leaves you longing for more from her characters, all of them. I have not read a book by her that I have not thoroughly enjoyed!
Harvey is the owner of a business that keeps him busy so he has hired a new assistant to help him with the day to day things. When Natalie starts working for Harvey, she of course is a looker and keeps him on his toes for sure. Harvey and Natalie develop a good working relationship, but the more time goes on, the harder it is for Harvey to keep their relationship a working one. When the two of them escape to Vegas for a weekend, will what happens in Vegas be able to stay in Vegas or will it follow them all the way back home?
While Harvey and Natalie let go in Vegas, they each have a few too many drinks and end up getting very intimate with each other, everywhere possible. Of course, the two of them end up doing what tons of others do while in Vegas and visit a little chapel and say some vows they don't remember. The next morning when they wake up, everything comes flooding back to Natalie in a rush of quick questions and a glance at the ring on her finger. Did they really do this??
When Harvey and Natalie realize that they really did become husband and wife the previous night, they know that they have to do something to fix this crazy mix up. They go to a place that Natalie found to have the marriage annulled, but boy do they get taken for a ride with that one. Natalie and Harvey go back to New York and continue on with their everyday lives hoping that things will be take care of only to find out that they have more obstacles in their way in the future than they could have ever imagined. While they are trying to figure out what to do, their feelings for each other surface once again. The way that these two can kid around with each other is great! I really loved the connection with Natalie and Harvey and once things heat up even more, I love how protective Harvey becomes of Natalie.
I don't want to give the whole story away but you will not regret picking this on up and reading it. It is steamy with lots of humor to keep you turning the pages quickly. Lauren Blakely is definitely in the right profession with her ability to write these stories! I anxious for what is next from her!
