I went into this totally blind...why because with Jewel's books you truly never know what your going to get. It could be suspenseful, heartbreaking, funny...so many things. Scarlet Stone was interesting and powerful, also chaotic and beautiful. I dare you to read this.
Scarlet is unlike any character I've ever read. She's trying to find herself to really live, but she's also hiding some major secrets. She's flawed,
She's feisty, Shea's funny, she's quirky...everything I love in a character. While hoping a plane to Savannah to start over, she meets Nolan. He's about to change her life. He offers her a place to live, but it she has to deal with a broody roommate. Can Scarlet resist this jerk of a man? Or will she continue to push his buttons to get answers? Will Scarlet's secrets come to light and can she truly find her life again?
Theo is a massive jerk right from the start. He's described as a beast, a beautiful beast. But there is something underneath all his jerky ways...pain. Pain from what? He doesn't want this woman in his space and he'll do anything to make her life hell, why? Is she the one that can break down his pain? Is she his light?

I don't want to give anything away because this story was so unique. I dare you to step outside your normal. I dare you to question right and wrong. I dare you to love and hate. I dare you to live and die. This book will open your eyes to truths and lies. It will open your heart and expand your thoughts. I have so many mixed emotions after reading this I'm still trying to grasp the whole book! It was a fantastic read and will be one I go back too. Jewel raises the bar with each book she writes and I look forward to more amazing work from her. Each character brought so much to the story. Her father, Nolan, Nellie, Daniel. Another interesting thing I loved about the story was the beginning of each chapter. This will be a book that will stay with you because of its uniqueness. Grab this now! 4.5 Ruby Stars
