From New York Times bestselling author Kylie Scott comes the second sizzling stand-alone novel in the Dive Bar series!
When his younger brother loses interest in online dating, hot bearded bartender Joe Collins only intends to log into his account and shut it down. Until he reads about her.
Alex Parks is funny, fascinating, and pretty much everything he's been looking for in a woman—except that she lives across the country. Soon they're emailing up a storm and telling each other their deepest, darkest secrets...except the one that really matters.
When Alex pays Joe a surprise visit, however, they both discover that when it comes to love, it's always better with a twist.

“I wanted to talk to you a bit more about what happened between us online,” he said, his mouth a serious straight line. “How I came to use my brother’s profile.”
Ugh. “I’m pretty sure I found out everything I needed to know last night.”
“I didn’t mean to lie to you, Alex.”
“Once is a mistake.” I crossed my legs, kicking my black leather bootie back and forth. So I was a little aggravated. Sue me. “Months’ worth of e-mails is not. You could have introduced yourself to me, Joe, told me who you really were. You chose not to. Christ, no wonder you kept putting off meeting. I should have known something was wrong.”
“You’re right. I shouldn’t try to sell you excuses.” A big sigh from my “friend.” “Truth is, I’m not used to being the bad guy. Usually I’m the one cleaning up my brother’s messes.”
“Lucky me.”
REVIEW - 4.5 Stars
As a lover of Kylie Scott’s books I couldn’t wait to get my hands on book Twist book two of Dive Bar series. For the past few months I kept seeing it was coming and knew I needed to jump as soon as I saw a sign up. Just like with Dirty and her Stage Dive series, you are going to be put under Kylie’s spell. She makes you feel so many emotions for her characters and story lines...ahhh!
Joe is the guy that aims to please. He can’t so no to his friends or family and as a result ends up being taken advantage a little bit. He has for years lived in his brother’s shadow so to speak, I mean seriously woman use him to get to his brother. Online dating is not even on Joe’s radar, but when he meets Alex online he’s intrigued by her quirky socially awkward personality.
Alex is socially weird at times. She grew up as a nobody and doesn’t really believe in real relationships both friendly and sexually. She works from home as a graphic designer, so she really doesn’t get out much. Her only friend is Val. She only dates to basically scratch an itch I guess you could say. When she meets Eric online she starts too feel something for him which is not like her. She is attracted to him and decides to take a plunge. But will it be the right one?
Eric set up the profile to meet women for a good time, but got bored. Joe was going to delete it, but then he came across Alex. He's intrigued by her and wants to know more about her. Joe(Eric) and Alex have become friends and have shared some real truths with each other, but have never met. Alex has decided its time to surprise her online pal by surprising him on his birthday. Except when she meets him she is expecting to meet Eric...oops big problem its not Eric. Alex is embarrassed by the actions of Joe, she’s humiliated and feels betrayed. Can Joe get her to forgive him? Or will Alex turn more inwards with herself and go back to nameless men?
One thing that I really loved about this book were the secondary characters. All of them make up one weird family. The relationship dynamic of them is something that grips you. Alex's BFF Val is one of a kind. She is a hoot!
The chemistry between Joe and Alex was a nice slow build. When things start to heat up you feel that sexual tension. It was nice to see how they were together. How Joe was going to make things up to Alex and if Alex was going to let down her walls.
My only real problem with the story was how Joe started to act towards the end. I got it, but it just seemed out of character a little bit for him.
This was a great read like every other book by Kylie. She gave her characters likable and real qualities, funny sense of humors and great dialogue. You will easily get drawn into their banter and will be rooting for them. I highly recommend this series and that you read Dirty too. You don't need too to read Twist, but the characters do crossover and it introduces you to the group. Grab this sweet, sexy read now! 4.5 Catfish Stars!!
