More Than Water

This story left me with all kinds
of feelings. I love how down to Earth and likeable the characters are. I fell
in love with EJ and Foster as a couple as well.
Evelyn (EJ) is a young lady in college and is living with her friend while pursuing her dream of an Art History major before she picks a college for her MBA. EJ is a very likable person and has a way of kidding and joking around to make light of any situation.EJ has a very wealthy family but she does not like to let anyone know and does not flaunt her family's name or wealth in anybody's face. When EJ gets transferred to a different library on campus as part of her job, she meets Foster. EJ shows up to work and is meet by the geeky science guy as her co-worker. Foster is sort of quiet at first and does not really pay any attention to EJ while they are at work. They both go about doing their job and make small talk. EJ soon realizes that Foster has a huge brain as she likes to say and knows lots about Chemistry and other subjects as well. When a friend of EJ's ends up in the ER when he is supposed to meet EJ to be her body guard while she takes pictures for a class project, Foster steps in to help out.
Foster is a young man that seems to be reserved and does not have much communication with anyone besides his friends in the same degree interest. Foster helps EJ out with her class project and basically just sits back and watches her work. When EJ and her friend go out one night on a sort of double date, EJ ends up running into Foster and his friends, ditching her date to spend time with them. Even though EJ ends up not being on the same knowledge level as these guys, she still feels like she fits in with them and enjoys herself. When things progress throughout the evening, EJ and Foster end up at his place for some "fun". When EJ wakes up the next morning she regrets what she has done with her co-worker, but does not regret the experience that she has with him. Things end up being a friends with benefits relationship with Foster and EJ in no time.
Foster and EJ get along so easy with each other and their friendship blossoms. Ej starts developing feelings that are more than just friends, but she is not sure that she wants to act upon them, so she just goes along with what they have been doing. These two made a great couple and I loved how they banter back and forth with each other. They are so perfect with each other.
I felt like I also got a Chemistry and Art lesson while reading this book. I love the way that Renee intertwined all of that with the romance of this book. I also loved the surprise that was a totally unexpected twist!! Renee did so well writing this one. The whole lesson behind the book and everything else just makes it a really great read!! I can't wait to see what Renee has in store for us readers next!!
