***
This a longer length novella and is the second book in the Sweet series. It is told in dual POV, has an HEA, and no cliffhanger. Since Samantha and Jase are recurring characters from Sweet Temptation and Sweet Love, I recommend reading both books prior to this but it isn’t a must.
Warning: Due to mature subject matter, such as explicit sexual situations and coarse language, this story is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.
REVIEW - 5 Stars
5 Stars!!!
Sweet Haven by KC Lynn is yet another example of her sheer talent and wonderful ability to tell a story that keeps you wanting more and more. There will never be a time that I get tired of reading her books, and I excitingly wait for each new release... They are not only hot and sexy, with drool worthy alphas and heroines who you wish you were, but they leave the reader with a sense of hope and a glimpse into what true everlasting love looks like.
Samantha Evans may think that Jase Crawford is exceedingly hot, and she doesn’t get tired of looking at him; as long as he keeps his smart ass, cocky mouth shut. Her older brothers’ mortal enemy, Jase is nothing but eye candy… until he isn’t.
Jase has always thought Sam Evans was hot, he even thought about going after her to piss of Sawyer, but something always held him back. Sam’s looks of disdain rival those of her illustrious brother, but there is still something about her that Jase can’t put his finger on. Her peachy scent does something to him that he can’t understand.
“I don’t like fucking peaches, okay? I’ve never liked them, and I don’t like the taste of them. Actually, I hate everything in the peach fucking family. So stop trying to get me to like fucking peaches!”
Jase and Sam may think they hate each other, but they are the epitome of the saying “there’s a thin line between love and hate.” All that supposed hate makes for an extreme amount of passion and chemistry. And although it may seem wrong at first with their families hating each other, Sam and Jase quickly come to realize that they are perfect for one other, even with the deadline of Sam moving closer to her parents and brother looming over them. The two of them are practically combustible with the amount of sheer passion that they exude.
“I fucking love peaches. I love the smell of them an goddamn, I love the taste of them.”
I LOVED Jase. I’ll shout it from the rooftops! I am not ashamed! He has become my absolute favorite alpha in any of KC’s books. This man is swoonworthy and incredibly hot… I want him, He’s hot, alpha, romantic… He is Sawyer 2.0! The reason they can’t stand one another is because they are the same man!! I loved it and loved that other’s noticed it too! And ooooohhhhhwweee when Sawyer finds out that his enemy is doing his little sister… it is epic!!
Sam is everything that I hoped she would be. She has this deep sense of self, and though she is a little dented, she is fierce. Sam isn’t a pushover and she comes to know herself while with Jase. They bring out the best in one another and in turn the duo create the perfect people that they should be.
KC Lynn has written yet another masterpiece. I love her writing. It’s sweet, sassy, and dirty- The perfect combination. She has this knack for writing the type of romances that are real, raw, and delve into the nitty gritty, never lacking in the feels. I have re-read all of her books, more than once and will continue to so forever and ever.
Jase and Sam… they are the forever kind of couple that give love a great name.
“Because I know, without a doubt, that I loved you before I ever met you.”
