Wow...first let me say a lot of names are thrown at you. I had a hard time following who the “semi” good guys were and the bad ones. Seriously there are a lot of names...lol...However, once things started to settle down some I was able to really get into the story and it's crazy good! Basically Mia is the daughter of a rival crime family. She and Nico have a past, but it isn’t what you think. Nico saved Mia and in the process lost his father. This takes us through the whirl wind of their story of love, lies, revenge and death.
Nico is smart, gorgeous, rich, dominant and powerful. However his past is creeping up on him and he is trying not to get weighed down by it. Nico always gets what he wants and nothing will stand in his way. Family or no family Nico will win this war for power. When his past starts to collide with the present, Mia bulldozes her way into his life. She's everything he shouldn't want. But He has met his match and he can’t wait to have her and he will!
Mia is feisty, gorgeous, smart and talented. She has succeed in her life all on her own after she broke free from her family. Mia’s father sees her has just another business transaction. He made her want something she had never allowed herself to want before, to free that part of herself she had buried away.
Sarah did a great job with this story. I wasn't sure right at first if I was going to like it. I love mafia books and I will add this to my list of good mafia reads. You will get sucked into Nico and Mia's story. Highly entertaining and there is another story within the story. Great characters and a great beginning to a series! Secrets, loyalty, and lots of twists and turns. I recommend this and can't wait for Luca! 4 Stars!
