Jagger is a book I have been dying to read since I finished Junkie. I had to know what happened to Miri and Jag. Heather left us with a big cliffhanger and let me tell you I was not expecting how everything was going to fall into place with this. Jagger picks up right where Junkie left off. This is told from dual POV's which I love.
Miri is Jag's world. She is his broken doll, his light. She fought her way into his heart and now she is his weakness. Soon these two find themselves on a path that will either destroy them or be their saving grace. Can they fight and bring themselves out? Or will evil win? Gah I want to say so much, but I can't. I will say it is pure HELL and there are some moments that will have you squirming because his world is filled with violence. Its evil, brutal and shocking. But Heather does a fantastic job showcasing how Jag is and how this drug world is. Money, Sex, Drugs, and POWER. It all comes down to Power. Jag holds the power and certain forces will try and take that away from him any way they can.
I don't want to say much because it will give away things from both books. I will say this...YOU NEED TO READ THESE! Both are intense and will have you hanging on the edge. This book is more gritty, raw and violent, but it also has a beautiful love story that will warm your heart. Jag and Miri will totally captivate you. These two broken souls have found each other and are trying to build a life, but everything keeps trying to stop them. Holy hell are they passionate! Jag is so protective or Miri and you can't help but swoon over that. Miri has so much strength( I loved her) after everything she has been through I don't know if I would. I wanted nothing more than to just sit back and let them get their HEA, but I knew it was going to be tough for them. So much chaos around them. UGH!
So my reason for 4.5 stars is there is a part in the story that I think needed more. I can't say what, but I felt that it was kind of glossed over and it needed full attention. It's a big part of how everything happens to unfold. Secrets, lies and betrayal are part of this whole book and this just didn't get the story it needed or at least I felt that way. Others may see it differently.
Heather did an awesome job with this series. She wraps this up perfectly. She will give you the angst, the surprises and the steamy moments you will be craving. This book is beautiful, but also gritty. Hold on because you are going to be taken for a ride! Bravo Heather! I highly recommend this series!
