REVIEW - 5 STARS
**********************************
Tempt Me is a nice surprise for Valentines Day. This novella features Jamie and Hunter, its full of passion, sexy times, heartfelt connections! This could be read as a standalone, but really why would you want too when the Stark Trilogy is so good! At least read Tame Me, that is the first novella featuring Jamie and Ryan.“Sometimes I wonder if you really understand how much I feel for you.”
Ryan Hunter...100% alpha male. This man oh my...I just can’t even form words. He brings things out of me that leave me weak and totally at his mercy! LOL
Jamie is gorgeous, driven and full of life, but she holding back with Ryan.
For two years these two have had a strong, loving and sexually relationship. Ryan finally got the uncatchable. Now he wants nothing more than to make it a permanent bond...he wants Jamie to be his everything, his forever. But Jamie is reluctant as ever. She’s scared and is sure that things will change once that piece of paper says they are one. I personally can’t understand her reluctancebecause Ryan is a catch and he treats her like a queen! Jamie needs to work through the issues she is having, but can she? She is already owned 100% by him, why does he need this? His her fear stronger than her love for Ryan?
I squeeze his hand, and he glances at me. “Hey, kitten.”
“You say it like that and you make me want to curl up and purr.”
“Is that so? Well, tell me how I say it so I never stop.”
I glance down at the floorboard, feeling suddenly awkward as I whisper, “You say it like I’m everything in the world to you.”
“Oh, kitten, don’t you know that you are?”
Jamie and Ryan finally are at the point where this could make or break them. Jamie finally begins to believe that she is ready to marry Ryan, but then someone/something shakes her confidence. Can Jamie get to that place again where she was with Ryan? Will Ryan continue to wait for Jamie or finally move on? Will Jamie decide that she can’t live without Ryan and submit to what he wants?
Jamie and Ryan are white hot flames! Their chemistry is so smoking, you will be fanning yourself for sure. I loved every second of this book and I want more. I hope this isn’t the last we read about these two together. I really liked have the little snippets of Nikki, Damien, Jackson and Sylvia. If you haven’t read Stark Trilogy or Stark International, give yourself over to these alpha males and amazing women!
J. Kenner knows how to seduce her readers. Every time I pick up a book, I get lost in her words and characters. Its like she puts me in a trance. This was mesmerizing, and hot as hell! I can’t wait too see what she does next! 5 Kitten Stars!
EXCERPT
“I adore all of the women in my life,” he says. “I’d do anything for them.”
He’s looking at me as he says it, and my heart flutters in my chest. But I’m not sure if he’s including me in that group, or if the hint of meaning I hear in his voice is nothing more than my imagination. I shake my head as I frown, trying to clear my thoughts. “You okay?”
“Fine,” I say, though it’s not true. Our rhythm is off, and it’s scaring me. We’ve always been in sync, even before we were dating. And now—well, now it almost feels like he’s deliberately keeping me off balance. I want to get back to normal, and I don’t know the path, and my lack of confidence is frustrating me.
“Are you heading home?” Ryan asks.
I shake my head. “Oh, I don’t know. I haven’t decided. You?”
“Moira and I are taking Mom back to the hotel.”
I wait for him to invite me along, and when he doesn’t, I say, “It’ll be nice for you guys to have time to chat in the car. But she usually crashes early, doesn’t she?”
“Usually. Why?”
“Oh. Um.” I lick my lips. “Because I was wondering if you wanted to meet me somewhere. We could get a drink. We could talk.”
“Talk,” he repeats. He meets my eyes, and I see the question in them—have I changed my mind? Am I going to say yes? I glance down at the floor. “Talk,” he repeats.
“No, I’m sorry. I can’t do that.” I look up, frustrated. “But, Ryan, I just—”
“I have plans. I’m going to Westerfield’s.”
“Oh.” Westerfield’s is one of the hottest clubs in town. It’s also a Stark property, which means when Ryan goes he gets the full VIP treatment. Something that never fails to snag the attention of the female patrons. Most of whom are usually drunk. And wearing outfits that are barely big enough to keep a Barbie doll modest. “Oh,” I repeat.
I wait for him to suggest I join him there, but all he says is, “It really was great that you came.” Then the bastard leans in and kisses my cheek. He kisses my f*cking cheek.
