Lucas Thatcher has always been my enemy.

It’s been a decade since I’ve seen him, but our years on opposite coasts were less of a lasting peace and more of a temporary cease-fire. Now that we’re both back in our small town, I know Lucas expects the same old war, but I’ve changed since high school—and from the looks of it, so has he.

The arrogant boy who was my teenage rival is now a chiseled doctor armed with intimidating good looks. He is Lucas Thatcher 2.0, the new and improved version I’ll be competing with in the workplace instead of the schoolyard.

I’m not worried; I’m a doctor now too, board-certified and sexy in a white coat. It almost feels like winning will be too easy—until Lucas unveils a tactic neither of us has ever used before: sexual warfare.

The day he pushes me up against the wall and presses his lips to mine, I can’t help but wonder if he’s filling me with passion or poison. Every fleeting touch is perfect torture. With every stolen kiss, my walls crumble a little more. After all this time, Lucas knows exactly how to strip me of my defenses, but I’m in no hurry to surrender.

Knowing thy enemy has never felt so good.

4 Stars!

A new book by R.S. Grey is always a wonderful thing! She has a way of writing that is fresh, interesting, and in most cases, laugh out loud funny. This is most definitely the case with her newest release, Anything You Can Do. A perfect title that reflects the synopsis of the book wonderfully. I hear in my head “anything you do can, I can do better,” every single time.
Dr. Daisy Bell has just moved back to her small hometown, Hamilton, to work at the Dr’s office with the elderly town doctor, Dr. McCormick. She has achieved everything she has set out for herself and her dream is owning her own practice- something that is doable working with the elderly doctor that she has known all of her life. She never dreamed that she would also be working with Dr. Lucas Thatcher , her lifelong mortal enemy.
Competing with one another since before they could walk, Daisy and Luke hate each other and the entire town is aware of it. Teachers tried to pair them up and gave up after the utter animosity that the two of them exhibited. If Daisy got an A, Luke got an A+. If Luke ran track, Daisy had to run track and cover more events. She went to Duke, he went to Stanford. And on and on. Putting the two of them together was a recipe for disaster.
Daisy can’t help but notice that Luke has filled out in all of the right places. She detests him, but can stop being intrigued by him as well. She just knows that he is out to push her out of the practice. He can’t possibly be nice. No no no, theres a hidden agenda there, and she just knows it.
Luke does have a hidden agenda- to make Daisy fall in love with him. Yes, they drove each other nuts as kids.. and teenagers… and young adults even, but he has loved her for as long as he can remember. He needed her to realize it, and see if there was more than hatred in her heart… but will Daisy realize that Luke is more to her in time or will she be too late?
I’ll read anything by R.S. Grey, but I gave this book 4 stars instead of 5 because there were times when Daisy annoyed the hell out of me. There were times I felt she overreacted and quite frankly thought that Luke was out to get her one too many times. His every action, sentence, and look meant that he was out for her and it kind of drove me a little crazy throughout the middle of the book.
That part aside, this is a classic R.S. Grey book that I would still recommend again and again. You really can’t go wrong reading anything of hers, and I look forward to new books yet to come!

I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things… everyday.

I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors are Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I’m a comedy geek and love all things “funny”. Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
