I lost her.
No, I didn't lose her. I threw her away.
She was my best friend.

I was never supposed to fall in love with her.
I was careless.
She was heartbroken.

I thought I was doing fine. But here she is, years later, forced to work with me, reminding me why I fell in love with her in the first place.
And this time I'm going to do everything in my power to never let her go.

Review - 5 Stars
Claire Contreras did a brilliant job with this book. I love how there was dual POV with Jensen's being his writing. We get a glimpse of Jensen and a taste of why his writing is so good and sought after. The amount of emotion and heart that went into this story is felt with each line you read in the book! The story was so smoothly written and kept you turning the pages one after the other in order to find out what is going to happen. I felt so connected with Mia and Jensen throughout the whole story. I felt that they were my best friends that I was watching develop their relationship. Such a great story and so very well written!!

Mia and Jensen had the perfect thing going. They were first best friends, then boyfriend/girlfriend. When the two of them decided to take a little break because of being a long distance away from each other, Jensen made one choice that changed both of their worlds forever. When Jensen did the noble manly thing and made his choice to take care of what he had done, Mia was devastated. She thought she would never get over Jensen and technically she never really did. Jensen had moved to New York so that he could take care of what he needed to and while he was there got a big break with his books. I love that Jensen was man enough to do the right thing and take care of his issue and move forward even though he did not want to. He knew he had to in order to take care of what he was supposed to.

Mia was working for a magazine and got a chance to go to New York for a special project that they needed help with, which just happened to be the same company that Jensen is writing for. When he has to go on assignment with her a few times, the sparks reignite between them and Jensen is determined to show Mia that he is willing to do anything and everything to make her realize that they are supposed to be together. Jensen took a lot of beatings from Mia because she was just not sure if she wanted to go back to Jensen and risk her heart again. I love that Jensen never gave up and was so persistent. He knew what true love was and he was not going to let it go a second time.

When Jensen has done all that he knows to do, Mia still returns back home and breaks his heart this time. Jensen tries and tries to get Mia to realize how good of a couple they are and how much he truly loves her. He still does not give up even after she has gone back home. When Mia realizes that she has a little surprise that Jensen has left her with, she knows that she has to rectify the situation and get back to Jensen but she doesn't even know where to begin to go back to Jensen. All her family and friends help her and everything ends up being a HEA for Jensen and Mia. This made my heart so happy. I was rooting for them the whole time but you just never know how the story is going to go. This story left my heart feeling so full and bursting with happiness. I can't wait to see what Claire has in store for us as readers in the future!
