  1. Good afternoon,

Zharmae published my novel "The Thief and the Sacrifice" in May, and I'm looking to get it reviewed and featured wherever I can. If you wouldn't mind reviewing this piece when you get a moment, I'd appreciate it! Below is a synopsis, a link to the book on amazon.com and a link to an excerpt. It's available in eBook format and in print. I'll send you the copy-edit if you'll e-mail me at clarkstaplesbennett@gmail.com. It isn't formatted like the version available for purchase, and there are several small changes between the two but they're all cosmetic. Also, it is in PDF.

    Thank you for your time,

    --Kevin Bennett

Captured by Nazis fresh from plundering ancient ruins for occultic artifacts, GI Floyd Sandburg finds himself dragged behind an overloaded caravan of harried shock troops and POWs. Among flotsam from antiquity strewn haphazardly across the desert by careless Third Reich-ers, he discovers a relic. A very special relic; one that seems to give him the ability to travel through space and time. Using the relic Floyd escapes, and soon finds himself hypnotized and unaccountably obsessed with his unexpected deliverance. Deliverance at the hands of a pen-sized artifact shaped like a spear, with strange lettering on the side. An artifact that is somehow both thrilling and repulsive at the same time. It is too much for Floyd not to follow the Siren call of his curious soul. He uses the relic and is taken to the world from where it came. A world where the relic is stolen, and Floyd Marooned. Marooned where the land is crazy and men are giants who tame all beasts, Floyd merely a curiosity to be exhibited. But imprisonment isn't the kind of gig to keep Floyd Sandburg licked. He soon escapes into that realm of undiluted lore, where he is snatched up into a plot of kings to topple a hegemony and liberate the nations. A plot stretching across eons, and with an intimate part in the politics and world-shaping of our own modern era, where the puppetmasters hide in darkness and aim to make us sheep. With the power of the ancients, will Floyd save the world, or lose himself?
Blood and cries, thunder, fire--and the demons of the mind, or are they really real? The Lens is calling, the focus tightens, and what was then has always been, when jets of steam burst through the starry night...

    Author's Favorite bit of dialogue:

“Oh yes? Resist, and you’ll die. Give in, and you’ll die—but understand: you may die happy, full of unnatural longevity, like me. Or you may die in a few days or hours full of pain and confusion. We are the vampires of old, Chase. We are the werewolves of the night. We are the bogeymen, the space aliens, the monsters—and we are the faeries, and the elves, and the demons, and the tricksters, and the gnomes, and the trolls, and the Rumplestiltskins; all rolled into one. And so are you.”

  2. Hi!

My name is Yordan Zhelyazkov and I’m a fantasy author. A novel of mine is getting published soon (Aug 17) so I started looking for reviewers and found you through rachelkburke.com

The novel’s called “When They Shine Brightest” and is currently available for pre-order on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B011JD9VEC (blurb and cover art can be seen there). It's 264 pages long and it's both a stand-alone and leaves some things open for continuation. Here's a link to Goodreads as well: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23595400-when-they-shine-brightest

As for the project itself – since I’m actually a Bulgarian, the book was originally written in Bulgarian and is getting ready for publication by one of the most prominent publishers here – “Enthusiast”. One of the greatest modern sf/f Bulgarian authors worked with me on the edits (Luben Dilov-junior) but I also got the bright idea to get the book translated into English and self-publish it online. You know – for the lolz. The translation was done by a professional translator with native American-English and two decades of experience (Alexander Gurovski). It also just went through its final edits by Tia Bach (at http://www.ibgw.net/).

All that commotion was funded through a successful crowdfunding campaign in IndieGoGo (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/when-they-shine-brightest-a-fantasy-novel/#/story). A sample, a bio, a blog, maps and more on the book and the project you can find on my website: http://yzfantasy.com/. If you’re interested just email me at jjeliazkoff@gmail.com and I’ll gladly send you a copy.

    Thanks! ;)

  5. Greetings,

I am hoping to interest you in reviewing my story "Dead over Heels" (a short 11k words) that has been published by Frith Books. It is part romance, part paranormal, part crime... and a tad part horror.

The story follows Veronica who lands a date with Sebastian. On their first meeting, they encounter the ghosts of their past that threaten to tear them apart. The couple decides to face the evil that stands between them--but will they make it out alive?

Here is the Amazon link in case you would like to check it out:

    Kindest regards,
    Happy holidays,
    Theresa
