Rush (Pandemic Sorrow) by Stevie J. Cole Blog Tour

All books in the Pandemic Sorrow Series can be read as stand alones.

WARNING: This is not a traditional romance. This is a male point of view and before he finds his one you will be subjected to the dirty ways of an uncommitted rocker. This book contains explicit language and sexual situations. This book is intended for a mature audience.

Synopsis:
It’s my job to play music, to make girls wet, and then to screw a select few of them. I’m a professional rocker. I’m rich, I’m famous, I’m one lucky son-of-a-bitch. I have everything - except control.

The industry owns me. And the only thing I have a minuscule grain of control with is women, but not that dominate, tie you up and gag you kind of control. No, I want to govern how I make them feel. I need them to feel like a goddess while I’m in them, and I love being able to control the fact that they’ll never really have me. Love is complicated. It is bullshit. And even if I thought I needed it, the rules of being a rocker won’t allow it.

Sex is all I need.

I don’t need love.

But for some reason I want her. For some reason I can’t get her out of my mind. And lately, every time I’m with any girl besides her it feels wrong.

I can practically have any woman I want, but I can’t have her. She’s off limits because she’s part of that industry that owns my ass.

Sex was all I had.

And sometimes I thought maybe love was all I needed…with her.

Review- 5 HUGE Stars!

AMAZING!!!  I love Stevie J. Cole!  Yep fan-girl right here...her writing makes my girlie parts quiver with need...damn!!!  I know my review isn't going to do this book justice, but I'm going try to get my feelings out.

If you loved Jag you will absolutely love Rush.  Rush is not dark like Jag, but it's still on a level of its own.  He's a man-whore...America's man-whore.  The things he says and does...wow!  This book sucked me in just like I knew it would, but I had to stop reading a few times because I didn't want it to end.  I have eagerly been awaiting for her to release it and it DOES NOT disappoint!

Rush lives up to his rock star image... man-whore. He constantly does any girl that can walk and as he says "I like my sex emotionless and primitive.  No intimacy, just the pleasure and satisfaction of getting off."  But deep down I think he's just a scared little boy who’s afraid no one will ever love him for him.  The public image the label puts out of him isn't exactly correct.  Rush is a man-whore...check.   He does drugs...check.  He does a lot of charity work, is he recognized for it...negative.   Rush is smart, is he portrayed that way...negative.  Yet, he often feels lonely and he can't get a certain girl out of his head....Jules

Jules is a no nonsense girl.  She didn't take anyone's shit except for Rush.   Working with the band Jules sees how he and the others guys are around women, it disgusts her.  She also knows that relationships in this business don't last, but yet she is attracted to him.  She sees past part of the persona he has.  Being with Rush could cost her big time, her job.  But will she risk everything for a night of passionate sex or ignore her desires?

Rush wants to dominate her, make her his, its wrong, but yet it's oh so right.  They both have denied each other for five years and after one night they give in.   Jules is disgusted with herself and Rush just simply wants more....she's the best and it causes him to feel something he's not use too.  One year later....The explosive chemistry between them is scorching, like fireworks burning and blazing in the sky, it's so undeniable.  It literally jumps off the pages, grabs you and makes your panties drop!  I have two words...elevator scene!   What neither of them expected was to feel the way they did....disgust, lust and love?

"Want. I had never wanted someone the way I did her.  She was desire? Lust, need...she was everything I had ever dreamed of and never had."

Rush realizes his life is empty and it would always be, unless he had Jules...he fell in love with her.  Can he put his man-whore days behind him and be the man Jules needs?

This book is not a fairytale...nope it's a bumpy road, secrets, heartbreak and craziness.   I didn't think I would like Rush after reading Jag because he was such a jerkoff, but I love him!  I love him!!  He absolutely won me over and it was brilliant!

I loved the glimpses of the rest of the band and you get to experience Rush and Jules take on Jag and his demons.   James, God I wanted to pound him in the balls with my fist....ass!!!!

Stevie's writing is enchanting.  She gets her claws into you and doesn't let go.  I swear she has bewitched me because I can't get enough of her books.  I can read them over and over and I love the experience they give me...sorrow, panty melting sex, love and hope.  Love her!   Oh and the bonus scene....OMG...hot and bothered and you might need to take a cold shower...WOW!!

About Stevie:

Oh, what to say?
I love writing (obvious since I'm on here, right?) I don't have a specific genre - I just write whatever story manifests itself inside my brain.

Writing is like therapy. There is nothing else that I can lose myself in the way I can a book - the way a well written story can take you away from reality and leave you in a dazed state once you've finished... that is unbelievable. I can only hope that whoever reads my work will be sucked into the little world I've created on the pages.

Aside from writing, I love sloths and mythology. I kind of have a thing for vampires, because let's face it, something about the fact that they have to fight the urge to bite your neck and drain the life from you is rather sexy. I have an irrational fear of the zombie apocalypse. I honestly cannot imagine a more horrifying way to go than by being ripped to shreds by a mass of mumbling, decaying, and oozing corpses with clicking teeth. Ugh! I just shuddered typing it.

Now the boring basics: I grew up in the south listening to a ton of grunge rock (I'm sure if you read my books you'll be able to guess who my favorite bands are). I wanted to major in theatre and creative writing but my parents refused to let me. They told me those weren't "reliable professions". Reliable? I'd just rather do something I enjoy!

When I hit 30 I decided to start a bucket list and publishing a book was on the top (followed shortly by meeting a certain celebrity). Proud to report I've accomplished both.

So, here I am with my first novel and working on the second one. The journey of writing Bound to the Fallen has been amazing and allowed me to meet many wonderful individuals.

I hope if you read my work that you will enjoy it. After all, writing is the most amazing magic trick of all... it puts the reader in the mind of the writer (kind of creepy if you think about it).

I hope you love my little world as much as I do.
