An emotionally charged series.

PULL ME CLOSE
The Panic #1
Sidney Halston
Releasing Oct 25th, 2016
Loveswept

Welcome to Panic, a sultry Miami nightclub where bodies and hearts move to a beat that doesn’t stop at sunrise—the setting for an emotionally charged series from the bestselling author of the Worth the Fight novels.

When Katherine Wilson passes out in the arms of the hottest man she’s ever seen, it’s not because of the lights, the pulsating music, or the crowded dance floor. It’s because she can’t enjoy a night out like a normal person, not with her debilitating anxieties. These panic attacks are going to destroy her life unless she takes control—or gets a helping hand. So after the club’s bad-boy owner personally escorts her home, Katherine feels something urgent and primal awaken inside of her.

Nick Moreno doesn’t need a headache like Katherine. A drug bust has put his father behind bars and forced Nick to take over the daily business of his family’s South Beach nightclub. His head tells him to walk away—but his body has other ideas. Katherine’s vulnerability, her grace and courage, compel him to reach out. And when they kiss, Nick is overcome by desire: to pull her close, and promise that his embrace will always be the safest place on earth.

Two steps forward...5 steps back…

Everyone needs this book in their lives. Seriously, stop and buy this book!
Nick and Katherine’s story is beautiful, spellbinding and was an emotional rollercoaster. Sidney captures the realistic feelings of what it is to live with an anxiety disorder. From the first page, I could feel my throat closing up and my heart rate getting faster. I felt what Katherine was feeling. I was in absolute awe of how captivating Sidney’s words were, that had meexperiencing the characters anxiety right along with her.

Katherine’s life is pretty much inside her apartment. She can’t seem to get past the door to leave. She tries everyday to walk out the door, even works herself into a frenzy thinking about it, but she just doesn’t have the courage to do it. The last time she left, she had a panic attack and ended up passed out in the arms of the owner of the nightclub Panic. When she awakes, she sees the most beautiful man she’s ever seen, but he’s a jerk to her. He doesn’t allow her to explain what happened, he just jumps to conclusions an assumes she’s a junkie. Leaving her with an unsettling feeling, Katherine tries to push through to get him to understand what is wrong with her. But of course things don’t always go as planned. Will she accept that not everyone understands her? Or will she get the courage and strength to prove she is more than her disorder?

Panic’s Club owner Nick, has seen is fair share of drug addicts to be able to spot them a mile away.. When this beautiful girl collapses at his club, he knows she’s taken something that she shouldn’t have. Not wanting to pull more bad publicity for his club, he decides not to call the police. After taking her home and watching over her, she awakens and he rushes out the door without letting her explain. He doesn’t need another junkie in his life. But there is something about her that he is drawn too and can’t seem to get out of his head. Will he let Katherine explain what happened? Or will he stay away?

Ive decided I’m going to let myself fall in love with you. Then you need to catch up, baby, because I’m already in love with you.

The chemistry between these two was intoxicating. It was all consuming and the whole book will give you the feels. It will have your heart soaring, your skin tingling and you body sweating….not just from the interaction between Nick and Katherine, but from Katherine’s panic attacks. This is so hard to explain because you will immerse yourself in this story. You will feel Katherine’s fears, her cries for help, her emotions...Sidney pours Katherine’s thoughts and feelings out that you can’t help but feel like you are right in the story with them.

This story is real and explores what it is like to live with anxiety and depression. It also explores what it is like for the loved ones of someone who is suffering from these issues. I know often times those of us who don’t experience this level don’t understand why someone can’t just move on, or cheer up or let things go. It’s not easy. However, I felt that Sidney captured Nick wonderfully with how his mind was working in regards to Katherine’s issues. At first he was a big jerk, but as he slowly started to understand and things dawned on him, he grew into a compassionate man. He wanted nothing more than to fix it, to be her savior, but he realized that she needed to help herself that he couldn’t do it all. His character grew over the course of the story as did Katherine’s. Katherine, I adored her. She showed so much strength and power throughout the story. To live in constant panic, that one little thing out of place or changed could cause her to go into a full blown anxiety attack was just amazing to hear her thoughts and feelings. She didn’t change overnight, it was a process. A long and hard process, but she eventually wasn’t going to let her illness define her.

This was heartbreakingly beautiful!! A MUST READ! I would say a top read this year! Grab your tissues because this will tug at you from all angles! I just can’t put into words how much this book is...I just am spellbound by it! Sidney Halston takes you on a journey of self-discovery, love and acceptance. You will not be disappointed if you give this a chance! 5 Beautiful Stars!

USA Today bestselling author, Sidney Halston lives her life with one simple rule: "Just Do It"--Nike. And that's exactly what she did.

After working hard as an attorney, Sidney picked up a pen for the first time at thirty years old to begin her dream of writing. Having never written anything other than very exciting legal briefs, she found an outlet for her imaginative, romantic side and wrote Seeing Red. That first pen stroke sealed the deal, and she fell in love with writing. Sidney lives in South Florida with her husband and children. She loves her family above all else, and reading follows a close second. When she's not writing, you can find her reading and reading and reading. She's a reader first and a writer second. When she's not writing or reading, her life is complete and utter chaos, trying to balance family life with work and writing (and reading). But she wouldn't have it any other way.
