We fell in love on a beach, got married in paradise, and I carried her off into the sunset. It should have been perfect, but saying “I do” doesn’t guarantee a happily-ever-after. Two years later, I barely recognize either of us behind the walls we’ve built. It’s time to bring it full circle. Back to a tropical paradise. Back to find out if we can still make this work. I’m not willing to give her up, but to save us, I have to risk everything. Two damaged people. Countless secrets. The fight of our lives. We might be broken, but we’re not done. Add to Goodreads
Meghan March has the exceptional ability to weave romance, wit, and a touch of intrigue in all of her writings. Her newest book, Take Me back is no different. A stand alone, second chance story about a husband and wife trying to save their marriage, Meghan weaves an intricate story about once the initial can’t keep my hands off you romance has worn and how keeping it alive demands work from both sides.
Kat and Dane were interesting and wanted to make it work so bad, they just didn’t know where to start. I thought that that had a very real life feel. I’m sure many readers will have experienced that same feeling and will be able to connect with the book on a more personal level. Happily ever after isn’t something that’s a given.
“I love you, Kat, but that doesn’t mean jack shit if we aren’t both willing to fight for this. You tell me on the flight home whether you’re in or out. Deal?”
While I love everything Meghan March, I gave this book 4 stars. It didn’t do it for me like other books of hers. I just couldn’t fully engross myself in this one. This probably had more to do with me than with the storyline itself, but even with that said, I still thought it deserved 4 stars. It has a classic Meghan writing style, and Dane is just as sexy and dirty mouthed as other alphas of hers.
Meghan March is one of my go to authors. I will read anything and everything by her. And while this one isn’t one of my favorites of hers, I highly anticipate the books that have yet to come. Take Me Back is a solid 4 star read in my book.
Meghan March has been known to wear camo face paint and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She's also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Her past lives include slinging auto parts, selling lingerie, making custom jewelry, and practicing corporate law. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she's ever had. She loves hearing from her readers at firstname.lastname@example.org.
