Review - 4 Stars

I was a little apprehensive going into this book. Being the second book, I naturally thought to start off with the first. However, I am a sappy romantic and am always in favor of a solid happily ever after. So, I chose not to read the first book as it revolves around another relationship. I don’t want to end a romance novel thinking that my HEA was a temporary situation. IN the end, I was glad I made that choice. I get very attached to the characters I read about and I would have had a much harder time accepting Sienna’s choice to break it off with Erik.
Let me first say, this book surprised me. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. It’s not very long, so it was a fast paced read. The story moves along at good pace, not rushed, but getting to the peaks and valleys of the plot in a very straightforward way.
I adored Caz/Charles. It’s so clear, from the very first moment that he is tortured by something. Something that is eroding him from the inside, poisoning his very being. He lets the darkness seep out and spill onto those around him with his rude and angry behavior. However, for some reason, Sienna is able to reach him, almost immediately. It was like she was a balm to his wounded soul. As his softer, more playful side emerged, he just got sexier and sexier. Without a spoiler, let me just say, the ending is beautiful. He was truly hiding a beautiful soul and a complete romantic underneath his gruff exterior.

I have to admit, Sienna was a bit annoying to me at times. Not all of the time, and not for consistent periods. However, it lasted thought the whole of the book, those moments where I rolled my eyes and thought, “grow up, would you?” Despite those times, I liked Sienna. She fought so hard not to tear into Caz and force him to open up to her. In the end, I probably would have given into the temptation to snoop as well. She had fun qualities that helped endear her to me, just as they were doing to Caz. I appreciated how open she was to Caz’s critique of her art, and the willingness to break out of her shell and better her art. As usual, I felt the heroine clung to her twisted illusions of needing “space” and time to figure things out. When the sweet hero sends you texts about how much he misses you and his heart is breaking, and that he wants to tell you everything. You don’t tell him “I’ll think about it!!”
There is plenty of heat burning up the sheets. Their attraction makes for some steamy scenes! Their relationship really does grow in a smooth forward motion, the events seeming to take a natural course.
Overall, I really enjoyed it. Even those moments of annoyance at Sienna were pretty easy to overlook. The story is heartbreaking and sweet all at the same time. If you’re looking for a quick read and feel good romance, I’d recommend this book.

Review- 4 Stars

I'm not a real big fan of novellas because I typically want more after I finish reading them.  This book was good and the writing was descriptive when it came to art and her feelings towards her life.  Yes, you get your answers, but I still wanted just a bit more.  I know...never satisfied lol.

Sienna is a graduate student majoring in her dream...art.   Her life follows two things, art and organization.  She's driven to make something of herself in the art world, even dating the wrong guy with the right connections.  It doesn't hurt that he's good looking and will help her chase down her dream.  But then someone catches her eye....Erik.   Who will she choose...Stability or Chaos?

Dave is your typical silver spoon guy. He's good looking, arrogant, smart and knows talent when he sees it.  He's never had to work for anything in his life, but he's working to get Sienna's attention.  He uses his family's gallery as his in and it works.  He knows Sienna is driven to achieve success in this tough world of art and he can make that happen for her, even if he doesn't have to best intentions.   He wants her and he'll do anything to get her.

Erik is the gorgeous male model and up and coming artist.  He's using modeling as his breakthrough too achieve his success in the art world.  He didn't go to college, he's had to work for things in his life.  He is Sienna's fantasy, but he can't help her achieve her dreams or can he?

It's basically a love triangle between Sienna, Dave, and Erik.  Should she be reasonable and go with Dave who can give her what she needs...stability and fame?   Or follow her heart and choose recklessly, the man who could be her everything...Erik?   Follow Sienna journey and see what choice she makes.  Does she love Dave? Or does she love his connections?  Is Erik faithful? Or does he use lines on every girl?  You'll be surprised how the story unfolds.

My complaints involving this book are simple....I needed more character development.  I couldn't totally connect with them.  I knew that Sienna and Erik had chemistry, but I didn't feel it completely....it felt rushed a few times.   I hope in the next book you get to know the characters a little more.  Because this series has potential.

4 stars!  This book was a good, fun and super short read.  It will keep you engaged because you'll want to know who she chooses....
Stability (Dave) or Chaos (Erik).
The ending was sweet and I enjoyed that it was written from Sienna's POV.  Looking forward to following this story too see if it develops more....good potential.
