Review
5 Stars!!

Holy Smokes!! Where to even begin with this one?? This story was nothing that I was even expecting, but was so much more!! Rachel Robinson blew this one out of the water with her writing!! The characters are so well developed and the story line had me on the edge of my seat wandering what in the world was going to happen next and saying to myself, "I did not see that one coming!"

Cody Ridge is a young man that is a Navy SEAL. Although he is out of the military now, he uses his experience with the military to run his own business now that has done very well for him. Cody was captured and held as a POW for 3 years. During that time the government declared him dead even though they did not have a body. His fiance, Lainey, had to bury an empty casket and live with the questions that she would always have about his real whereabouts. Lainey did not want to move on. She felt that she was doing wrong by Cody if she moved on and tried to make another life for herself with anyone else. It took her time, but she eventually did.

Just as Lainey was moving on a little and had meet another Navy SEAL, Dax, that had helped her heal a little since Cody's funeral, Lainey gets the news that she never thought she would hear again. She had always hoped and prayed for those words, but never actually thought that they would be reality for her one day. Cody was found alive!! Now Lainey had to accept that she was not alone and that she was actually still someone's fiance. I can't even imagine the turmoil that Lainey goes through, but Rachel Robinson does such a great job of giving us a glimpse into Cody and Lainey's mind as they are going through this roller coaster of emotions they are forced to face. What is Lainey going to do now?

I loved how Cody was such a gentleman about the whole situation. He knew that Lainey was having a difficult time dealing with everything and that she had moved on and accepted another marriage proposal from Dax, so he kept an eye on her from afar and let her have herspace. When things escalate for Cody in his business and he gets some wanted intel that he had been waiting for, he has some decisions to make that may effect how he and Lainey are able to see each other in their future if they ever do decide to even become friends. I love how there was such suspense in this romance along with a surprise at every turn with story. I never could have guessed that all of this was going to transpire in the story and was so pleasantly surprised with it all. I highly recommend this read!! I am looking forward to what is next for Rachel Robinson as well. This one is going to be hard to top, but I am sure she will find a way to do it!!

Excerpt
She’s been his for the stolen years. I called Dax. We spoke of Lainey and how he wants her to know she has options. He wants to win her fair and square. I didn’t have the heart to tell him fair and square loses every single time. The option that Lainey is exercising at the moment has my mouth watering and my dick rapt at attention. A stronger man--a man with more integrity would resist. I was stripped of everything, integrity included. I just want back what is rightfully mine.
“I want to kiss your entire body. You want that?” I ask, rubbing the insides of her thighs with the palms of my hands.  Her body excites me. It’s familiar and brand new at the same time. Everything washes away when I touch her. I can block my pain receptors with her pleasure. I can forget. “Every single square inch of you.” I say folding my hands around her tiny, tan waist.
She nods. Her doe eyes challenging me to merely kiss her. Smirking, I lean over her drag my lips across her tits, down her stomach and back up her neck to find her mouth. Lainey whimpers as I rest some of my body weight on top of her.  My mouth is watering by the time I bring my lips on top of hers. Her scent is all around me, her warm skin is against my chest, my cock is nestled right where it wants to be. How to tell her how much I’ve missed her? Or that her fucking gorgeous face is still the center of my universe?
