I enjoy all of Melissa Foster's books and this new series is steamy!! Definitely something different from Melissa but I have to say that I like it when she lets loose with this side of her. The Bad Boys are so Alpha Male and steamy!!
Amanda is a young lady that is working as an assistant to Mick. Amanda is knows as the good girl and she is tired of being called that so she has decided to read this book that is supposed to help her in seducing men into liking her. Amanda decides to go to a masquerade ball to try and use her new skills that she has learned while reading her book. Amanda has always had a crush on her boss but has never acted on it and knows that he is not one to keep a relationship with one woman at all. Mich is just not the relationship type of guy. When Amanda meet a guy at the masquerade ball, she thinks this is her chance to break out of her good girl habit. What Amanda doesn't know is that he has her figured out before they even get the chance to do anything.
Mick identifies Amanda by the freckles on her neck and hand that drive him crazy day after day when they are working together. When Mick figures out that the woman he has chosen to be with that night at the masquerade ball is Amanda, he is shocked. Amanda is always so shy and conservative at work. Why is she even in a place like this? Mick makes an date with Amanda for the following night and Mick takes it upon himself to teach Amanda all that she wants to know about being a bad girl.
I love how Mick was so protective of Amanda and felt that it was his obligation to teach her everything so that another man would not take advantage of her. Amanda has no idea how lucky she is to have gotten hooked up with a man that actually cares about what happens to her. Amanda has no idea that Mick has had his eye on her the whole time she has been working for him as well. The way that Mick takes the time to show Amanda things and have experiences with her that she has never had before is heart melting. I really love how Melissa Foster wrote this story and how Mick is such a bad boy, but also an Alpha!
This is a great read overall. I really enjoyed being able to dive into this one and get a look at Melissa Foster's writing from this perspective. I can't wait for more of this series to see what is in store for more of the Bad Boys After Dark!!
