This is another great story by Lisa Marie Perry! Once I started this one, I did not want to put it down. The characters were all very well developed and the story flowed well. I loved how all the supporting characters made you feel like you were part of a big family where everyone takes care of everyone.
Sofia is a young lady that was always know in her hometown as the sick kid because of the heart condition that she has. When Sofia got a chance to have the health problem fixed, she of course did and took out to a new place to live so that she could try and escape the way everyone saw her and the old memories. That also meant that she was going to leave behind her first true love, Burke.
When Sofia gets the call that her aunt Luz has dies unexpectedly, she is the only one to go and take care of business and personal matters for her aunt. Sofia dreads going back to her hometown because she knows that there is a chance of running into Burke and she is just not ready for that. Well, she does run into Burke and things go just as Sofia thought the would. Sofia has planned on not staying in town for more than a couple of days, just long enough to handle her aunt's affairs. What Sofia did not know was that her aunt had left everything to her and that also meant that she was not the owner of a shop that she had no idea what to do with.
As time goes on and Sofia is trying to learn how to deal with all that has been left to her, she and Burke of course begin to see each other more often and become closer and closer again. Will Sofia and Burke be able to rekindle the old flame and make this story a second chance romance? You really need to read this one for yourself to find out, no spoilers from me! You will not regret picking this one up and getting lost in it!! I am anxious for the next story in the Guilty Pleasures series tosee what Lisa Marie Perry comes up with next!!
