Review- 5 Stars
I finished Brisé last night, and I still have no words.  It was an emotional roller coaster from the first paragraph, and I ate it up.  The words that Leigh Ann Lunsford put to paper were astounding.  It’s not a secret that I’m a fan of out of the box story lines, so it shouldn't have been a surprise that I loved this so much.  It’s definitely a book that everyone needs to read because although it breaks you down, it builds you back up too.
I had to admire the way Pheobe eluded strength, even while going through probably the most devastating times.  I’m nearly tempted to spill my heart out, spoilers and all, but I know better.  What I can say, is seeing how strength broke through Pheobe throughout the times where she appeared broken, will stay with me for a long time.  It’s one of those things where if I’m having a bad day, I can think of this book and know that although it’s fictional, it can be a guide to being strong, even when you don’t think you can be.
Luke infuriated me at times, just like real men do.  The way he was written was exactly how a man might think, and I’m pretty sure that’s why I loved it so much.  It seemed legitimate, even when he was being romantic, or being frustratingly stubborn, it didn’t seem like it was written by a woman posing as a male character.  It’s a tough task to handle, but she did it flawlessly.  Plus, she created this amazing book boyfriend, who could only be described as perfect and loyal.
It’s hard to talk about Brisé without spoilers, but what I can say is this, it is amazing.  It is flawless.  And Leigh Ann Lunsford has a way with words.  So much so that this book killed me.  Emotionally, physically, it was a rollercoaster as I read each word and willed myself not to cry.  Trust me, if you’re into ugly cry books, GO BUY THIS BOOK.  5 stars!

She writes Romance/New Adult and loves her happily ever after in all books and movies. She lives with her husband, son, and four dogs in Fleming Island, Florida. When she isn't writing or reading you can find her stuck in front of really bad reality shows or watching Sons of Anarchy. Leigh Ann has a filthy mouth and a huge amount of sarcasm that knows no end. She hopes to give the voices in her head an outlet with many more novels to come.
