Lauren Blakely has once again given us a great read that leaves you longing for more of her witty, sexy, Alpha males that she has mastered writing. If only we would have known that Ms. Blakely was setting us up for a great read with Simon Travers with this one when we read Mister O! That is where we first get to meet this lovely man of hers.
Simon Travers is a very successful business man that has gone through a divorce that leaves him with custody of his daughter Hayden the majority of the time. The way that Simon is with Hayden will leave you swooning just on it's own, but then you throw in how he treats his women and you have even more swooning going on. Can you really get all that in one man? Well, thanks to Ms. Blakely you can! When Simon hires Abby to be his nanny and help him out with Hayden, he never dreamed that he would get the chance to make some moves on her, but he was hoping that he would, that is for sure.
When Abby goes to work for Simon, you can almost immediately feel the attraction between these two. There is definitely something there between these two and to see it blossom was awesome! Abby is so taken by her boss, but she also remembers that he is her boss. Can she actually react to her feelings to him and not get fired? Abby is not willing to give into her obsessions about her boss at first. She is going to keep everything professional and keep her job. But what if he makes the first move? Is she going to be able to keep her attraction to him at bay?
To see how these two main characters have such a passion about one little girls was so refreshing! I love how they were still focused on Hayden throughout what they were experiencing. This was such a well written story that kept you attention the whole way through with the usual humor and sass that we get from Lauren Blakely. I really enjoyed this one and I know you will too if you give it a chance!
