About OUR OPTIONS HAVE CHANGED

Having it all is a fantasy, right?
Chloe Browne knows all about fantasy. Fantasy is her job.
And she’s very, very good at what she does.
As director of design for the O Spa chain, a sophisticated women’s club that is trending its way into being the Next Big Thing, Chloe’s ready to take on the world.
One baby at a time.
Her home study’s done, and she’s about to adopt, a thirty-something single mother by choice. Who needs to put her life on hold for the right guy when the right baby is waiting for her?
Besides, talk about fantasy.
The right guy?
Pfft. Right.
And then in walks Nick Grafton, with those commanding sapphire eyes and wavy blonde hair and a sophisticated mouth that only smiles for her.
He’s perfect.
But the last thing Nick wants is to start fresh with a new baby as his college-age kids fly the coop. A single father for more than fifteen years after his wife walked out on her family, Nick finally tastes freedom.
But he likes the taste of Chloe more.

Our Options Have Changed is a full-length standalone contemporary romance, the first in the On Hold series by New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Julia Kent and journalist-turned-fiction-writer Elisa Reed. It is a loose spinoff from Julia Kent’s Shopping for a Billionaire series, with cameo appearances from favorite characters.
**BONUS ALL-NEW NOVELLA** from Julia Kent's New York Times bestselling Shopping series! Read Shopping for a Billionaire's Honeymoon. This 100-page bonus comes at the end of Our Options Have Changed. When Shannon can't get workaholic Declan to give her the sexy honeymoon time she wants, she takes matters into her own hands -- with hilariously disastrous (or disastrously hilarious?) results.

4 Stars
Our Options have changed by Julia Kent and Elisa Reed is the story of a single savvy career woman in her mid-thirties who decides to adopt a baby, only to then unexpectedly meet the man of her dreams.
Director of design for a spa chain, Chloe Browne is ready for the next chapter of her life and who cares there’s no man in the picture, especially after she catches her good for nothing boyfriend cheating on her. She is ready to build her own family and adopt a baby of her own. She has it all figured out, until her eyes meet Nick Grafton, the man behind branding for the parent company she works for. There are instant sparks that practically beg to be acted on.
Nick is finally ready for the next chapter of his life: as an empty nester. A single father in his early forties to three children all now in college, he is ready to begin to explore all of the aspects of life that he put on the back burner to raise his kids. They were his priority, and with his selfish she devil of an ex-wife living in Paris, he raised them. It’s now his turn to get to live a little. Falling for a woman with a brand new baby? Not in the cards.
I loved Nick. He was an upstanding, hardworking, loving father who bled integrity. He knew exactly who he was, and he adored his children. His son and twin daughters were his world, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t basking in an empty house. His dead beat younger brother Charlie living with him temporarily was a great addition to his life (and the book!). I personally adored his twin daughters. They were the perfect mix of sassy and classy, with a little deviousness sprinkled it. My cheeks hurt from smiling so much while reading some of their antics.
Chloe was a strong woman who is finally getting her family. Adopted herself as a small child, she will love her new baby girl, Holly, with every being in her body. She is completely out of her comfort zone, and has to learn to be a mom in addition to a successful career woman. She rocked at it. It was hard, and there were days when she didn’t shower, had spit up all over her, and hadn’t slept in days. But she knew it was all worth it. The difficult part was seeing where Nick could fit into her life when he wasn’t expecting anything of the sort.
Chloe and Nick find a way to make it work. Nick is a family man down to his soul, and although it wasn’t something he ever thought or planned, he wanted Chloe. There was no question about it. When the baby, his devious ex-wife Simone, and personal self-doubt creep in in an attempt to separate them, Nick and Chloe have to make a stand and define who and what they are. What they are is in love.
I thought this was a great story, but I gave it 4 stars because I felt that there were questions that were left unanswered. Searching for the baby’s birth mother had been somewhat significant, yet was completely ignored in the end. The book also sort of just ends abruptly, so much so that I read the ending again to make sure I hadn’t missed anything. Those things weren’t deal breakers for me, but something that I thought about after reading. It in no way ruined the book for me, but I did rate it a little lower because of it. Even with the minor blips, Our Options Have Changed is a book to be read!
