I am so sad to see this series come to an end, but I will say that Searching for Disaster has summed this one up perfectly. These four friends have found the right one for them and are on their way to having a happily ever after with their new found loves.
In this installment of the series we get the story of Isabella and William (Liam to Isabella). We learn that 6 years previously that these two had a one night stand that has always stayed with them. Neither one of them were satisfied with just the one night but things went downhill for Isabella and she has had a rough road from that night until now. Isabella started using drugs that night and it has taken her 4 years to get clean from the horrible habit. Liam knew that she was using and walked away. Now he has had to live with the regret of not knowing what happened to her after that one night.
When William and Isabella meet again, you can imagine the embarrassment that Isabella has for her actions. She is proud to be clean and sober now, but it has been a long road. Isabella remembers that one night with Liam so well and wants to know what could have come of that relationship if it hadn't have been just one night. She is not willing to go back there with Liam but longs for the connection that that one night gave her because it was unmatched and she has not found that since then.
When Liam decides to go to the company that Isabella works for to be matched with a possible date, he decides to take his chances and request that Isabella go on a date with him before they finish matching him with someone else. Liam is determined to prove to Isabella that he is the one for her and vice versa. Liam knows that the one night they had was special and want to know what could come of it.
After the date, things heat up for Liam and Isabella. Although Isabella is enjoying herself, she is not able to let herself get close to Liam because she thinks that she is not deserving of his love or the relationship that they are forming. We go on a roller coaster ride with these two while they work through issues and get to know them better.
I am happy to say that these two do eventually get their HEA. I was so glad and rooting for them all the way. I was hoping Isabella would wake up and realize what she had in Liam and that he was so good for her, but hoping that it would not be too late either. I love how Jennifer Probst wrapped up this book with the four friends recapping what all has happened to them as well. Such a great series that you will love!!
