Week 3!
This week we’re reading:
Never Too Far
We are moving on with Rush and Blaire's story. Which means a little more
Rush Crush!
Some of my thoughts on Fallen Too Far
I loved getting to know Blaire in this book. While I missed knowing Rush's thoughts, we get to focus on Blaire's history and personality. In some ways, I enjoy reading two separate novels and getitng to see entire events from each perspective. Blaire is one of those heroines that I admire. I never found myself getting annoyed with her (it happens often for me usually...lol) and wishing she were stronger or would stand up for herself. I hadn't paid much attention before this particular read through, but the actions of the towns people were brought to my attention and I looked at them a little more this time. I found myself getting pretty angry at their deternination not to be the one to tell Blaire the "secret." However, I also realize that these people have grown up together and are loyal to each other. While Blaire quickly becomes someone they love, in the end, she is still an outsider. The end is heart breaking and I am always so grateful I can move on to the next one right away!
I loved hearing everybody's favorite quotes! So, this week, I'm sharing mostly those. ( I apologize that there are no names. I'll add them when I figure out who they are. lol)
This person’s comment cracked me up, “I'm unsure at this point who I like and who bugs me!” ( I totally agree!)
Some Favorite quotes:
"Your instant reaction to being scared is to pull out a gun on someone? Damn girl, where are you from? Most girls I know squeal or some shit like that." -Grant
"Don't let him lie to you. I'm an unwanted guest living under his stairs and I've wanted a few things and he keeps telling me no." –Blaire
I can imagine myself being the same and can hear her sing-song voice in my head.” -Bethy
"He wasn't what sent me running. He was what had made me want to stay." -Blaire
"You say one more word about my momma and I'll put an extra hole in your body" –Blaire

I loved Rush Too Far more than I loved Fallen Too Far. I love reading the male perspective because it's so real, raw and uncut, They don't think in flowery words; it's honest.
ReplyDeleteI loved both Rush Too Far and Fallen Too Far. But since I love Male POVs more than I like reading female POVs, I think that I was a little more in tune with Rush in this one. The emotions seemed to flow out more during this book. Even though I knew the story from reading FTF, RTF was a different way for me to experience it.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved getting to know what was going on inside Rush's head during all of the
ReplyDeleteI loved this one! It had me from th ebeginning <3
