At first when I saw the list of characters, I thought I was
going to be totally lost in this book, but come to find out, I was
not. This story centers on Nexi who has just trained with her powers and is
still getting used to them. Nexi has been raised in the human world even though
she has immortal powers. Nexi is unique because of how many different powers
she possess and for how strong her powers are. Nexi still does not even know
how strong she can be and her powers surprise her.
Kyden is Nexi's match in the immortal world and he is very possessive of Nexi. He does not like for Nexi to put herself in danger or to get into battles where she could get hurt. Kyden always puts Nexi first and makes sure that she is taken care of.
When Nexi defeats Lazarus, she never knew who his mate was. This was a good twist to the story for me and I liked that you did not guess this was how it was going to go and that Nexi had to realize she was the one they wanted. (Trying not to give spoilers here.)
The action and the way that Stacey describes the battles that these characters go through is done in such a way that will keep your attention and have you wanting for more. I loved the action parts of the book. Very descriptive!!
