Two years out of college, Angelica Bondesan spends her time working as a barista, keeping in touch with her prodigal brother, and trying to figure out how to bridge the gap with her father, a wealthy real estate developer.

But all of that changes the night she’s kidnapped. Thrown into a windowless room, Angelica is positive there’s been some kind of mistake — until she meets Nico Vitale.

Gorgeous and frightening, Nico became the boss of New York City’s Vitale crime family after the execution style murder of his parents two years earlier. Since then he’s turned the old-school mob into a sleek, modern army of ruthless men who understand that physical violence — while always an option — isn’t the only way to get what you want.

Now Angel is forced to face the truth;

Her father is not the man she believed him to be.

Nico Vitale is dangerous, possibly lethal.

She is falling in love with Nico Vitale.

"From page one you're hooked and sucked into this corrupt thrilling world. A masterful romance of deep dark suspense, complicated emotions, and exciting action." - New York Times bestseller, M.J. Rose

 REVIEW - 4.5 Stars
I love Mafia books.  There is just something that completely fascinates me about these people and their lives.  This book hooked me in right from the start.

Nico Vitale is the head of the Vitale family in NYC.  He's been thrown into the roll because his father and mother were brutally murder.  The killer remains free and Nico wants revenge, but first he needs to get the proof to prove the killer is guilty and who in his organization helped.  With a mole in his organization and another syndicate "Family" involved he must do what he feels will get him his proof...he kidnaps Angelica Bondesan.  Will Nico get his proof?  Or was kidnapping Angelica this worst move he made?

Angelica is working a dead end job after finishing school.  Her brother David is her only happy point in her life.  With a strained relationship with her wealthy father who has pretty much kept his children at arm’s length, she must figure out a way to forgive him for the past years absence.
When she's kidnapped she believes it's a mistake.  Why would anyone kidnap her?  When she finds out the kidnappers or more importantly crime boss Nico Vitale want something from her father, she soon finds out not everything she thought about her father is true.  Will Angelica believe these words spewed about her father?  Or will she finally grasp the truth before her?  Will she deny the growing attraction she's feeling to Nico?

The instant attraction is not welcome between either of them, but in their minds they can't deny it.   When sparks start flying the lines blur and soon they find themselves falling in love.  Soon things get complicated and no one is safe.  Can Nico get his proof and keep Angelica?  Will Angelica finally see what her father really is?

This was an intense ride.  Secrets, lies, truth, death and love.  The chemistry is hot between Nico and Angelica.  I enjoyed the forbidden connection between them.  They both are lonely and together they seem to merge their loneliness into one.  They both want possession of each other, but they were scared.  Scared of how they were feeling and the future.

I do own you, Angel...but you own me, too.

 My 4.5 star rating is because it needs better editing.  It has grammatical errors and some I had to read a few times to make sure I was reading them right.  Also I felt Angelica was hot at times and then cold and then hot.  Overall, it's a fantastic read.

Michelle St. James has crossed into the adult novel genre with a winner.  The storyline and the characters are engaging.  I need a HEA, but I don't know if we will get that.... I'm excited to see where she will take the series next.  4.5 Stars!
