Thrown together on another assignment, anger, frustration and jealousy are at the forefront of Jake’s emotions. Will Jake convince Haven that he really cares or will he let her go as she insists he must?

Review- 5 Stars
Damn Louise Bay and her cliffhangers! I love her books and am always addicted to them, then I get to the end and I want to murder someone. This author always gives me characters who will become dear to me. The main ones as well as the secondary. In fact, I’ve often hoped to see more of those secondary characters end up with their own books.
Haven had a rough start with me in the first book, but my opinion of her was changed very quickly. She became someone that I wanted to know about, whose story I really cared about. In this second installment, I still liked her albeit, I was very frustrated with the walls that she was erecting without cause. But, at the core Haven is a really great person, a wonderful friend and sister.
Jake never ceases to have my love. Even as Haven shoves him away and he questions why he wants her, it takes very little pushing for his to accept reality and recognize his own feelings. We also get to know a little more about Jake’s history in this book and of course, I fell that much more.
There are ups and downs in this book that had me glued to the pages to find out what happens next. The author introduces new elements that have the story going in unexpected directions.
Then she does the worst thing of all. Hits you over the head with a sledgehammer of a cliffhanger. It’s very clear that the last book is going to be a little angsty and now I have to sit on my worry for these two until the next one comes out! But damn it, I’ll be counting down the days!

Jake Harrison is everything that Haven Daniels hates about men: over-confident, born into money and too handsome for his own good. Haven finds it difficult to keep her opinions to herself and can’t help but tell Jake exactly what she thinks of him, again and again.
Haven Daniels is uptight, smart and a bit of a bitch – the perfect challenge for Jake. It doesn’t hurt that she’s movie star beautiful and has no idea.
Forced to work together, verbal sparring turns into sexual chemistry but men like Jake are trouble and Haven has had enough trouble to last her a lifetime.
Will Haven give into Jake’s charms? Can Jake peel off Haven’s prickly mask, revealing the woman he knows lies beneath?

About the Author
USA Today Bestselling Author Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind she likes to read. Her books Faithful and Hopeful are stand-alone novels although there are some overlapping characters. Bestselling The Empire State Series of novellas starts with A Week in New York. My next series is What the Lightning Sees.
Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There's not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.
Louise loves the rain, the West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
She loves to hear from readers so get in touch!
