Love story with a twist
of paranormal. I'm not one too read this genre, but I'm starting to like
it more and more. They offer such interesting story lines in addition to
a great love story. This is Brenna and Dante's story.
Brenna is a private
acquisition buyer. She finds rare, and exotic items for people. When the
man who broke her heart comes back into her life and needs her help, will she
help him?
Dante fell in love with
Brenna years ago, but he's different than other men. He's got a secret and
he had to walk away to save them both pain. What he didn't realize was he
was doing more damage than just telling the truth. Now, that he needs her
help to save a brother, will he give in and tell her why he left or does he
keep his secret?
The chemistry between
them was sizzling. When Brenna was with Dante he made her feel like she
was on fire until one day he doused her with water and walked out. The
flames no longer raging, now they are barely visible. Secrets and
lies....
13 years has passed and
yet both of them still crave each other....but trust is another things.
With a secret and misunderstanding, can these two find their way back to
each other?
I loved the story, but I
felt that it moved too fast. I didn't get enough of the action at the
end. It wasn't a big boom...it just kinda was a little knock. As
for the relationship part, it had its angst and that was hit head on. It
was steamy and you could feel their connection. But I wanted a little
more action. I guess maybe it was more about their connection and finding
their way back to each other. I don't know....
This was a great novella,
but I need a little more story....because they always leave me wanting more.
I enjoyed the characters so of course I need more...lol! I look forward
to reading more in the Dark Pleasures Brotherhood Series. 4 Stars!
