Review- 4 Stars

Claire is one of the not so popular kids in her group that hangs out, but her best friend Lindsey is very popular. Grey, one of Claire's other friends, has a crush on Lindsey and ends up asking her for advice and help with trying to get on Lindsey's good side so that he can date her. Claire is hesitant at first but ends up agreeing to help Grey. Grey and Claire are a lot alike in that they are having to always help their parents out in taking care of their younger siblings. They both are very good with their younger siblings and enjoy their time with them. Claire has Grey come to her house so that they can talk about how they are going to get him to talk to Lindsey. Grey is shy and not one to push himself on others so Claire helps him with "chance" meeting with Lindsey to get them more acquainted. Claire has no interest in dating because of a promise she made to herself. She is so afraid of her own problems interfering with her parents and them possibly getting a divorce because of her that she has promised herself she will not date to avoid that happening.

Claire is all about helping Grey, but in the meantime of them getting together to discuss situations with Lindsey, the two of them grow pretty close and become really good friends! Grey soon realizes that Lindsey is not a good match for him and that she is not the one that he has a crush on. Grey really liked Claire and has to find a way to tell her that he liked her instead of Lindsey. When Claire finally gives into her feelings, she realizes that she really likes Grey as well and has second thoughts about her vow to not date. At first Claire does not give into her feelings and keeps her vow. Claire soon realizes that it is not her place to take on her parent's burden's and breaks the vow that she made. Now she feels free to date Grey. Claire finds a clever way to tell Grey that she is no longer keeping her vow and wants to enter a relationship with him. This was a cute story. I liked that these young kids had responsibilities and were not just allowed to get away with doing nothing. Although this was a HEA, I would love to know what becomes of these two after they start dating.

About the Author
I'm not the writer who's been writing for as long as she can remember. In fact, I didn't start writing fiction until I was almost thirty. But, I've always been a reader. Which, of course, is one of the basic requirements for being a writer. I've read everything from horse novels and spy thrillers to historical romance and fantasy sagas—and lots in between. There's something wondrous about picking up a book and entering a new world with new adventures. And I don't plan on stopping any time soon.

When I'm not reading, I hang out with my husband and two old dogs, plus my grown sons whenever I get the chance. In the fall I spend way too much time yelling at my TV while watching football. I'm also addicted to British TV shows. Top Gear, anyone?

Oh, yeah. And I write. Kissing books. Or at least books that include kissing. Hope you enjoy them!
